Yeah Switzerland was the most expensive country I visited in Europe, probably why only rich rock stars can afford to live there.
I reckon Norway is worse. Both noticeabely more expensive than here which isn't cheap.
I didn't tip that much initially when I was there but you get pretty shit service if you don't tip especially in bars and restaurants.
There were places like barbers or hairdressers where I didn't tip though as it cost enough already and I wasn't going back there.
It's a culture shock. I like that $12 is $12 here unless you pay by card and then 1% or something surcharge is added.
Would shit me if my $12 here was actually $13.20 including GST and then "how much would you like to tip?". Making it $15 is about 14% which isn't good any more or something. **** it just include the percentage in the bill and give it to me.
