Ditto.

Average bathtub is about 140 litres.

Average shower is about 9 liters a minute. So a 10 minute shower is using 90 liters (thats if its newer and efficient).

EG a shitload of water going there.
I have 1-2 baths a week its not like I have them every night.

1-2 a week and 5-6 x 10 minute showers.

Youre almost single handedly destroying our water storage surplus.

Im probably doing a bath once a fortnight and a long (7-10 minute) shower once a week.

Rest of mine are 3-5 minutes, cold or lukewarm.

I dont have 5-6 10 minute showers.

you should concentrate your water wastage anger at our cotton farmers

Im joking, i dont really care how long you shower for, 10 minutes feels like an eternity to shower for me personally.
it's good to care though, it's a source we take for granted in this country. My town has an average rainfall of 297mm a year, i harvest from my roof as much water as i can.

I care, im just not going to police others. We have rainwater tanks for some stuff and im pretty conscious of water usage (i grew up with the water restrictions and have traveled to some countries where you see how important it is)
but i want him to be angry at our cotton farmers
I dont know a stack about cotton farming in particular but plenty of our primary industries burn through water. The usage in the meat industry is insane, contributed to my vegetarian phase (and my ongoing reduction in meat eating).

Showers are where you do your best thinking. 10 mins is the norm though I've never timed it. Could easily be longer some days if I zone out

After sport on a cold day when you're muddy and freezing, probably 15-20 average tbh

I like to draw inspiration during my morning constitutional.

Apparently kids today think nothing of having a 30 minute shower.
So much so they even have a name for such a thing, though I can't remember what it was.
Crazy,
Try that shit back when I was a kid, I would be dragged out by my ear after the second call to get the hell out!

Then leave the shower after 3 minutes and brush/shave with water running for 10 minutes?

Im the last person who is an eco-warrior but this statement is hyperbole - plenty of corporations pushing more water down the drain than me

Nobody is running the water continuously while brushing or shaving, it’s not a reasonable comparison.

There are. As you say hot water on the blade keeps the steel sharp and helps scrape smoother.

I’ll concede on shaving, as noted a once a week 10 minute shower isn’t a big deal, but nobody is daily doing this shit and no one is still running the water for teeth brushing (no one is hyperbole)

Crazy,
Try that s**t back when I was a kid, I would be dragged out by my ear after the second call to get the hell out!
I’m on rainwater and may or may not have turned the pump off when the kids took too long in the shower

I'll never understand ppl who eat or drink in the shower. I dont even drink a glass of wine while I'm in the bath.
I do understand it but find it too decadent lol. Feels like something you should only do in a chateau or some penthouse you’re about to trash. Pleasure with gay abandon, fanned grapes luxury.
