pressing knife downwards to cut instead of in a back and forth motion

Um, does that even work?

I don't think direct perpendicular pressure (without any movement) would work, as knives work through running across whatever they are cutting (no matter how sharp and smooth, they still look like a bread knife at high enough resolution with ragged edges).

Or do you mean you start at the top and slide the knife blade towards you?

i must add that it works for softer food items like a heated up crumbed chicken piece.

When I was very little my fave food was frozen peas. Preferred them to lollies. Probably because in the fridge-top/freezer-bottom situ it is one of the only edible things a little kid can consistently reach to scab for themselves.

My 7yo son loves frozen peas. He'll eat them either completely frozen, defrosted by pouring boiling water from the kettle over them or properly cooked like you'd have with a meal. When he asks for some I need to check how he'd like them cooked like a waiter taking a steak order.

Our kids both love to eat frozen peas & corn. Will eat them as a snack or sometimes a bowl for lunch..... 🤦‍♂️ . We can go through a big bag in a couple of days sometimes.

I feel seen!

It is around that age of 6 going on 7 (eldest child mind) that you are more likely to be home alone too every now and then, even if just for an hour whilst the parents nick down the shops or go for a bike ride. Frozen peas is like the origin point of kitchen diy eating, and being as cheap as they are no one gives much of a damn.

You all got some serious issues with not only yourselves but your children. I hope they're good at sport.

My 6 year old likes flour, whenever I have it out for something he comes and keeps dipping his finger in.

I hope he enjoys his time as a WCE NGA selection

I enjoy taking all my clothes off to go to the toilet. Obviously only do this at home or in a hotel.

A mate put me onto it and it's nice.
Seems like a lot of effort though...

I mean if you are sweltering in summer just wearing some shorts and/or undies, then maybe, or a robe/dressing gown in winter that you don't wish to traipse in there, but otherwise no thank you unless I'm showering or changing clothes.

When I have someone on social media who has bought or sold a house, I look it up on Domain or Real Estate to see how much it went for/they paid for it.
Everyone does this... even if they block out the adress you google the description.

I'm only doing it at home 95% of the time so it's literally just a t-shirt, pants/shorts and underwear.
