In certain times, after dishes have been washed in dishwasher, dont put the cleaned dishes and utensils away. When I require one of the pieces, just go to the dishwasher

I'm a shocker for using every utensil in the kitchen when cooking something, I do try and limit it but it never seems to work.

Dishwasher as much as I can. Sometimes it's more than a load though, then the quick wash is my friend.

I was not long back from overseas and crashing in his spare room for more or less nothing.

I only chuck the annoying stuff in the dishwasher. Hand wash most things and do about 2 loads in the DW a week

I did this on the weekend actually, gave an hour or so out of the fridge, went to the bakery and got fresh bread. When I came back my wife had "helpfully" put it back in the fridge, yeah annoying.

If you heat up the bun and let the butter melt it's even better.

Related - although we are a 'margarine' household, better half keeps butter she has predominately for recipes in my wine fridge, along with some fruit, veg and cheeses. Unlike normal fridges at 3 degrees, at 12 butter doesn't resemble a brick if you need to use for your H.C.buns etc...
