Time to Return to the Black Stripes on White Guernsey?

I've seen a few comments on the main board by people who prefer the old, pre 2001 version of the jumper that was predominantly white and would like to see the Pies wear it unless there is a clash and to make the black based version the clash jumper when required. I loved the black based jumper when it came out also but I have to admit I am swinging back the other way and would like to see the traditional jumper make a return. What do others think? Would most prefer the old or the current?

I can't see why each jumper has to be locked to a certain kit. The combination should determined on an opponent by opponent basis depending on the level of clash with said opponent.

For example here's a few different variations you could see with this arrangement.

Collingwood AWAY vs West Coast

Collingwood AWAY vs Richmond

Collingwood HOME vs Geelong

Collingwood HOME vs Carlton

Our kits work perfectly

all black kit, which is current preferred kit
all white kit, which is current alternate kit

We dont need to mix in match to assist other teams. Carlton should play us in their alternate kit.

Home = dark
Away = light

If all teams stuck to that then clashes would be rare.

I prefer the black on white but don’t give a rats If it’s the home or away kit.
