Would be a good replacement for Lecras and Petrucelle as our European representative.

We are also getting moist over Oscar Allan who is growing every day and is almost 300cmMate it's like the Atlantic ocean over here. Most exciting prospect we've ever been linked to I reckon. Kicking bags of 4 or 5 goals as an underager, can't wait to see how he goes next year. Right now, he's probably top 3, and could easily end up as number 1 pick by the 2020 draft. Seeing a kid his height moving like that is just incredible
Oscar's going to bring back the 100 goal a year forwardWe are also getting moist over Oscar Allan who is growing every day and is almost 300cm

Not in this comp.Oscar's going to bring back the 100 goal a year forward
He doesn't need them
What a load of crap, Richmond playing 6 or 7 in a row at the MCG to finish the season has nothing to do with money. The AFL is constantly throwing money away for the fairness of the competition. What's really going to bake your noodle later is when you realize that so is mens AFL.

Pickett’s quality has been obvious for years, for longer than Kelly’s even, yet we’ve wasted rookie spots on utter duds. It’s confusing.

POTY. Nailed it on the head. It's actually incompetent.
Imagine our list with Kelly and Pickett on it yet we went both Gorter and Burrows.
We missed and passed on both in the Rookie Drafts....... numerous times.
I've said it before O'Brien and his cronies have a "certain type" of player, that the go for and whilst in the main its been successful, their aversion for proven, consistent WAFL player who play in a position of need has been IMO a Real Concern.
It pains me, to think we may well be ponying up two first rounders for Kelly and then having the opportunity to get " his poor mans alternative " Pickett the last two rookie drafts.
We do some things exceptionally well as a Club, but we also have some alarming drafting misses from right under our noses in the WAFL.
WCE seem s**t at drafting gun WAFL players under their noses. Pickett, Stack, Kelly etc.
Better pull the trigger on Jenkenjumurra
We had Kelly on our draft list in 2017. As it turns out, Geelong got to him first, and we ended up with Brander, Allen and Ryan. That's an awesome draft for us.
In all possibility, in 6 months time, all 4 including Kelly will be at West Coast.
In terms of Pickett, he was never going to be an Eagle. It is necessary for the club to be risk averse in their player selection. It just is what it is.
It is a great story for Marlion, and the game.
"Look I think it was more important that we keep McInnes for his 15th year of backup to the backup 3rd reserve ruckman and get Josh Smith for a year or two of completely mediocre seagulling WAFL games instead of drafting a Pickett type. If you look back at our draft history we haven't really missed any. Hindsight etc etc " - Bond & co.It's actually incompetent.

Pickett and Rioli don't play the same role, though.I think with Pickett it was more the club didn't feel he fit a need of ours.
We probably had Rioli earmarked for a similar role and were/are banking on picking Kelly up. Hindsight and all that.

Pickett was a hbfer i thought up until a year or 2 ago when he moved into the midfieldI thought the consensus before he was drafted was that he'd play high half forward at league.
He obviously rolled through the middle today and at the Bulldogs, so idk.
Regardless I don't think it was because of character that we didn't draft him. He's been clean for years, cleaner than Ryan was when we drafted him at any rate.
