Seeing Coniglio in the Sydney derby - we would be a much better team with his inclusion.
BOND 007 - just make it happen.
I’d happily trade 2019 and 2020 first round picks for CogsYep
Think it’s unlikely though. He’d have to agree to come to us on less money than he’d get elsewhere because we don’t have a history of throwing reckless money at players like other clubs do even if we have the cap space
Means that GWS would be able to match so we’d have trouble coming up with a suitable trade

Not worth itI would allow repeated jokes ad nauseam from Dark Sharks to get Coniglio in the blue and gold
Wonder if GWS would accept any of our players as part of a trade. They seem pretty well-stocked everywhere on the ground, can't imagine them even slightly interested in anyone outside of our best 18. Maybe Brander or Ollen paired with a first-rounder to start things off? Can't see us doing something like that unless either player really wanted out.
Darling and a pick for Coniglio.Yep

Brander would be the one they want, was a part of their academy until the rules changed. They would probably want 2 firsts and brander. Or in real terms 3 picks between 13-18 by their reckoning.
Two firsts plus Brander is over the top, more than Dangerfield. Both were RFA's. Danger went for a 1st, a 2nd and a fringe player who didn't amount to anything.
You would walk away if that is what was demanded. Remember if he left as a FA now or in two years they get one pick likely in the teens. Anything above that is a bonus.

If only it was this simple![]()

Thanks ATG. Your like gave me 7500 likes.
Interestingly - I was also awarded my 2 yr anniversary as a member despite achieving 10 yr anniversary last year which was 3 years after being a 5yr member.
I wish my age was heading in the same direction![]()
System is up the spout - like you I got the 2,500 and 2 year crap a couple of days ago. Thanks ATG. Your like gave me 7500 likes.

There were very specific circumstances in the dangerfield situation whereby even if Adelaide matched he would have walked so their hands were tied. I'm not necessarily saying that what i suggested was reasonable or what would happen but it's likely what would be asked for.
TBH while i rate brander as an elite talent I'm not sure where he fits for us in the future. His best traits aren't that of a FF and Oscar looks like a CHF to me, Waterman is a perfect third tall with his running and link up play. Bailey Williams however possesses the traits to be a high flying FF and part time ruck. Needs 3-4 years of developing in regards to game sense and to shore up his kicking and thats our key forwards set already.
If it was brander + 2 firsts + 2 thirds for Coniglio + 2 seconds then i'd be happy with that. If we were to manage to fit Kelly into the salary cap it would likely be something along the lines of Sydney's second, our second this year (or GWS second whichever is the better pick) and then a fringe player they may be interested in. IE I could see them with interest in Nelson or even Venables. Salary wise it may mean masten is forced into retirement.
Venables isn't best 22 when we're fully fit. Neither is Nelson and neither is Brander. Redden could play Masten's role, Sheed and Coniglio play more inside, Kelly plays from the HFF.
2019
Sheppard Barrass Hurn
Jetta Mcgovern Duggan
Redden Sheed Gaff
Rioli Darling Kelly
Petrucelle Kennedy Cripps
Nicnat Shuey Coniglio
Yeo Hutchings Cole O.Allen/Rotham/Waterman/Hickey
You need to put up the picks and players to get the choccies. I'd suggest putting masto up for trade but nobody would want him and he won't leave WA. He'd retire first.
We would lose Brander, 2 first round picks, 2 second round picks, 2 third round picks, Masten and either Venables or Nelson and Gain Coniglio, Kelly, an extra second rounder next year and maintain 1 second round pick this year.
So 2019 would give us Coniglio, Kelly, Second round pick
2020 would give us 2 second round picks, 4th round pick.
Look at the above team and tell me it's not the best 22 in the league going into 2019. I agree highly unlikely to get both over the line. But with our backlog of developing talls it means we give up very little in both the short or long term other than knowing exactly what we have to play with.
Just so that people can think im even more crazy i'd be giving up venables before nelson too. Jetta at most has this year and 1 more in him, Kennedy the same too and hurn at most this year and 2 more. Gives us a shot at the premiership for this season and 2 more at least before we start losing vital pieces.
You cant trade multiple future picks in the same year.
