And they allowed us to give them $1m
And pay for them to fly to Perth to play.

No its not we have 2 1sts rounders and 2 2nd rounders to trade with . I dont give a flying fu** what geelong want cos kelly isnt contracted
I wonder what the comp would be like if we decided to form our own comp with the SANFL instead of bailing out the VFL in the 80's?And pay for them to fly to Perth to play.
He's gone, part of Darwin zone. Seems like they can sign him pre draft. This is fcked.Ok with Gold Coasts access to the whole of the NT and their concessions. Where does that leave us with the recruitment of Mally Jr?

Didn't you know? The VFL were gracious enough to allow us to have about 7 less players on our list.
A bird in the hand and all that .Um what about landing another 1st to get Robertson or Rivers?
Would you give a "flying ***" about that?
Kelly will cost one 2019 1st so don't kid yourself.
I would trade Petro to land a quality mid.
Future 1stHow do we have two first rounders?
We only have pick 14 right now.
And the license was deliberately delayed to allow the Victorians free go at WA players.
Actually we had a squad of 35 while everyone else had 52 players. We had to pony up closer to $4 mill to join the league. Had no home training facilities. Paid for other teams to travel to play us. And the state of origin team is bullshit, we had limited access to WAFL players (a max of 5 from each WAFL team) and the Vic teams told all their WA players they were voting against a WA team and signed them all before we existed.Didn't you know? Yourmumlovesbigcox you need to go and learn your own club’s history.

Your guessing that.
How can a club be awarded a zone and on the same day sign up players as academy players for the draft in a few weeks?
If the player was already signed up and actively being developed no problem.
But its the AFL, they do what they like.
Oh and I will say I suggested some time ago the Suns should align with the NT. Now they have the zone and have already indicated they will be playing away games in Darwin next season with the Dees playing in Alice.
Suns to be re-branded the Northern Suns at some stage was another suggestion I had.
Territory Thunder just folded so just watch all the good younger Thunder lads playing for the Suns in the NEAFL next season too.
Is that this year or starting next year?Article I read outlined it like below, they can pre sign academy players without bidding.
ACADEMY ACCESS
The Suns will also receive expanded academy player access for three years, which includes:
— Provision of the Darwin region as an academy zone.
— Ability to pre-sign Suns academy players (including those from Darwin) without bidding
— An increased rookie list of up to 10 players
Northern Suns makes sense. NT is way too small to have a stand alone team. A team with no set city that can cover NT and QLD would probably be a good idea. Play at Metricon with a few games in Darwin.Your guessing that.

They only stated for next three years in anything I've read, given they're set to get pick 2 and 20 in this draft I'd assume the darwin academy is now live.Is that this year or starting next year?
As much as I would hate to lose talent, if we want to rebuild our midfield we have to give up picks and/or talent.
Whats Petruccelle's value and who would be interested in trading for him?
The Bulldogs will have their hands full with Keath and Bruce. Carlton have Papley apparently locked in. North?
Alternatively, do we try and rotate him through the midfield from the HFF and see if he can play that role?
If trading him meant that we still had a first rounder in this years draft to go with 22 would you take that?Nope.
2019 1st round and 2020 1st round.
Petrucelle is worth more then a 2020 1st round to me. 2020 draft will be comprised as hell.
If you want to pay a person to sit on a list and not contribute you can pay me. I'll accept less than what Bennell wants.Considering Rioli's situation, our midfield and the awesome recent impacts of players getting another go or being drafted later on, I'd be for Bennell getting a spot on out list.
Considering what's happening with Rioli, it just shows how much extra benefit there was blooding Cameron this year. Whilst they aren't the same exact type of player they'll fill a similar position on the team sheet.Considering Rioli's situation, our midfield and the awesome recent impacts of players getting another go or being drafted later on, I'd be for Bennell getting a spot on out list.
I was talking about consessions which lasted about 4 years . In 1987 us and brisbane came into the comp and the VFL gave brisbane the first draft as we had a much bigger talent pool in WA .Yourmumlovesbigcox you need to go and learn your own club’s history.
Yeah I agree, but where the depth? Venners maybe?Considering what's happening with Rioli, it just shows how much extra benefit there was blooding Cameron this year. Whilst they aren't the same exact type of player they'll fill a similar position on the team sheet.
Yep it's a risk no doubt but I think low risk high reward. He would have to accept base salary. If you want to pay a person to sit on a list and not contribute you can pay me. I'll accept less than what Bennell wants.
