Petruccelle is a decent young talent, but I think his ceiling is rather low.
Yes he’s quick but skills are very below par. If we could effectively trade him for a pick that could be packaged into a deal that would net us Robertson or Rivers, I would do it in a heart beat.
They look like much more rounded prospects with higher ceilings. They also play in a position we desperately need depth for.

Go back and watch the first 5 rounds. BOG for us against Port, was very close to tearing a few games apart e.g. Collingwood at MCG running past players down the wing into the 50. Give a a couple of more pre-seasons and some endurance to go with repeat sprint efforts and he is going to be a damaging winger with the right game plan.

Honestly no.

I don't get why people are so keen to trade Petruccelle. Picks in the mid teens to 30 odd have like a 50% success rate of even playing 50 AFL games. Let alone good games.

He is a 20 yo that is fringe best 22 and could easily develop into an absolute gun.

Better sell him as steak knives.
Wasnt advocating for selling him as steak knives, just wanted someone else's opinion about it.

Thanks mate :thumbsu:

You can teach a monkey to kick, you are born with real pace or not. I see Petch developing into a defenive pressure and attacking weapon, perhaps on the wing

The only reason to trade Petro is to land a quality mid. So Petro plus 22/24 or 31 to land us a 1st rounder to get either Robertson or Rivers.

Or Kelly.

No way do we trade him for a 2nd round pick onnits own, thats counter productive.

Very few players are untradeable for the right reason.

Which guy were we keen on?

And doesnt the player have to agree to be taken by Gold Coast?

Can they say no thanks Ill take the draft?

Rosas.

It is unclear. If you have a read of the GC assistance package it says they don't need to match bids. Therefore it would read as though if you are in Darwin, you can only be drafted to GC for the next 3 years.

Malcolm Rosa's jnr, yeah they should be able to reject it and go to draft. But GC have a leg up, as they can tour him through club and sell him why he should come over going to draft.

We can do a video walkthrough of Lathlain. It'll be 90 minutes of a fixed camera on the Premiership cups.
