Why would you trade seaby?
Have lynch ruck, noway

What happens if cox does his acl?
I remember people saying trade cox to the hawks in 2000-2001 when gardy was ripping it up. Lucky we kept him (gardy does his knee and cox becomes a gun)

Dont say young Will come in and ruck, he wont be any better than seaby, and hes a Vic too. I thought seaby had a pretty good season last year.

Leave seaby alone, ruckman take a while to get going and seaby will be a gun.

If someone offered us pick 10-15 for Seaby, would you do the deal?

Only if we were picking up a ready made ruckmen in either draft such as a kruezer or uncontracted player from the PSD
It'd leave us short - no doubt.

But that'd be over the odds in what sounds like a strong draft

word within eagles management says that will sullivan is developing FAR quicker and better than expected, and gave warnock a hiding a couple of weeks back. Sullivan will be better than seaby, no doubt in my mind, far more mobile, and better in the ruck. I propose a solution. Trade seaby away for a late 1st rounder or so, then on-trade that pick with graham or staker to brisbane for mitch clark. Clark has proven himself as a Very handy ruckman, so he and Lynch could share the backup ruck load, so one goes in to the ruck, one goes forward etc. I would also propose us either drafting (mature age rookie?) or trading for an experienced ruckman from the WAFL/SANFL/VFL or trading for someone who could be merely a backup and only comes in if theres and injury, so the young kids/pinch hitters don't have an unreasonable load to carry. Maybe even trade for a hack like ackland, who wouldn't have to dominate or win in the ruck, but just be able to force a contest. Maybe even re-draft spaanderman as a backup.

Depends. At the moment, no. However if Sullivan continues to develop well and we get offered a good pick (12-18 perhaps), then I'd consider it.

As it stands though definately not. He's out of form at the moment but he's a good ruckman.

yeah sullivan is going to be better then everyone, no doubt in my mind. after his handful of WAFL games...its all so clear.

If we have pick number 1, and can get nicknat, then we would look at shipping him off, considering what we can get

But in saying that, i like seaby, and there hasnt even been talk of him being traded off has there ?
We wont get the No1 draft pick any way!

No but 7-10 hell yeh or 10-15 with player.
Im not saying he's no good im just saying he is too good to be sitting on the side lines might as well get something for him while we can. Especially with this years tallent.
I aslo think Sully could step into AFL ranks quite easy as he cut up Warnock last week. :):thumbsu:

yea i agree i think we should try keep seaby he is a great ruckman and i love when he plays up forward big strong marking option and he rarely misses a shot at goal.:thumbsu:

what happens if cox does acl, or if complications occur in his foot like Egan from geelong. I dont think its the right decision
10-15 for seaby isnt worth it.

hes a great backup ruckman. no way will we trade him.
Is Seaby even in our best 22?

Pick 10-15 for a guy who is not an automatic selection is a pretty good offer.

I think you guys are being a bit dogmatic in your refusal to trade Seaby. For a decent pick in a strong draft, I'd definitely consider moving him on.

I'm not saying we should actively shop him around or accept something shit in return. But if the price is right...

If we recieved Pick 4-8 I would consider trading Seaby. Im not against trading Seaby, the offer just has to be right. If someone like Wood can be traded for Pick 14, how about a premiership ruckman hitting his prime who has shown that when given the opportunity to be the no.1 ruck he plays very well. If we were to trade him we should wait untill next year and get a top 5 pick for him from the Gold Coast team.

the only way we would trade Seaby is if he went to woosha and said I want to be traded.

Playing 2nd fiddle is definitely holding his development back with the lack of quality game time.If he wants to be a topliner he has to go to another club.

No No No and did anyone hear NO

guys 200cm that can walk and chew gum at the same time ( in other words coordinated) are rare on this plaent let alone AFL

if Cox was to be injured we are screwed without seaby

plus hes re-signed a new deal not that along didnt he ?
