Keeping in mind their likely price, who would you most like to see Collingwood secure in the upcoming trade period?

N.B. Cousins will be drafted, not traded.
Kerr is probably worth the equivalent of two first round picks.
I am not aware of all players' contract situations.

Probably Hansen is the one there that I couldn't see us bothering with.

Bolded wont be a target at all. Got enough lead up forwards without Hansen who is injury prone, so we dont need another one.

Warnock will cost alot more than what he is worth at the moment. Plus Melbourne will get him in the PSD

I wouldnt like Kerr at Collingwood, prefer to keep our high draft picks and target a player like Harris, who fills our needs.

Someone like Brent Reilly from Adelaide would also be a very good target, wins his own ball and also has a very good capacity to run long distances. Disposes of the ball better than average also.

I could see us sounding out the Dockers regarding Warnock. The Dees want him bad and can PSD (I believe he's off contract at end of year) so they'll be interested in offers to at least keep the Dees honest. Plus they might be a bit pissy with the Dees efforts the other week.

I can't see us getting a big fish like Kerr as its going to be too costly. We're more likely to nab a player who is under 22 and still has some improvement.

We've got quite a few prospects already, which is something the Pies fans would know... and hence why it's best that Hawks and other clubs' supporters would be best to avoid voting on this poll.

Forwards is actually one of our strongest areas, with Rocca/Cloke/Dawes/Reid/Anthony/MacAffer/Rusling etc.

Young, classy, wins his own ball and has a bit of speed.

And he fits our surname policy lol

He is not gonna come cheap though, maybs a 1st rounder + Rusling, or something like that

Unfortunately Big Ronnie Boyle is not even on the radar IMO Cloke is hot cold because he is doing it all on his own. Our promising young fowards are mostly injured and will be back next year.

As for the trade targes

IMO

Reilly > Harris > Prismal

Reilly IMO is young and a real future A grader in all honesty getting a guy like him, if fit would be stealing an A grade player he has everything, hardness, clearance smarts, pace, skills.

Harris to replace O'Bree who IMO is not up to it and gets a game due to our lack of depth in the clearance winning players.

Prismal we need mids. I am a fan of Prismal, but not a fan of Prismal at Collingwood.

As for the poll, it's difficult to say.

For example, if we can get Kerr for 2 late first-round picks, I'd be all over it. Pick 3 + Pick 9 (or whatever they were asking), then pass.

I like Harris, but if we take an inside mid with our first he becomes somewhat surplus. Prismall's probably unrealistic tbh, as Geelong will get a high 2nd rounder from some team, which would trump our offer.

Reilly and Walker would be good gets, but at what price? Both have massive injury concerns, but neither would be let go cheaply.

With all that sort of thing in mind, if I were Hiney, I'd make the following offers:
- 1st rounder + Reid for Kerr. I would be prepared to go as high as 1st rounder + Thomas, if Kerr passed all injury/character assessments with flying colours.
- Goldsack for Prismall; our second rounder won't be good enough, and Geelong might see Goldsack as a replacement for Milburn/Harley etc...who are all getting a bit long in the tooth.

Now, those are obviously aggressive offers, but I believe would benefit all parties involved and make us a better, more balanced, team.

If those don't work out (and in reality, they won't), have a crack at Harris or Reilly. Who we go for would depend on who's taken with our 1st rounder.

Rischa yes Lovett no. Soft and outside as they come. Barely does anything and is over rated due to the fact that when he does it's usually pretty special. As a midfielder is similar to Leon but Leon goes at it with more conviction Leon > Lovett and I wouldn't want them both in the same midfield

Watching Lovett streaming through the MCG in the black and white and drilling the ball from 50 is something I could get used to.

I don't rate Prismall as highly as others.

Seriously, Lovett is basically a far quicker Lonie with inferior footskills. I wouldn't part with a 3rd rounder for him.
