Hey Carlton, let's not make any trades.

*Might as well give it a shot, they seem to be doing the opposite of what you guys are saying.
I'm happy to *keep* all our picks.

IMHO, we're not that close to a flag that paying 'overs' for a mercenary like Caddy or Tippett is going to buy us a premiership. Nor will discards like Gumbleton or Dawes considerably improve our ladder position over developing our own.

However, there are various players in the 25-35 range either unsigned or on the last year of their contract that we could use to trade into the 2nd round.

How insults on the internet offend people is beyond me, seriously would Kurt really feel threatened by these idiots on Twitter? LOL, if I was him I'd be lmao.

If I were about to go back to living on the Gold Coast from Adelaide while getting a huge pay rise I'd be like....

So you want us to use Pick 11 on Caddy?
I was under the impression that you were actually in the know as you mentioned on the Draft & Trading board that we have already tabled pick 11 for Caddy.....

I have seen the kid around my apartment on the Gold Coast a couple of times. Not sure if he lives there, or he visits for a regular booty call... but if I see him again I'll try to get the truth out of him. You never know, he might slip up and spill the beans! :thumbsu:

Would you guys be interested in Gibbsy, pick 11 and pick 52 for Tippett and pick 19.
I think this is pretty fair but I can't see it happening since the GC will offer more money than us and he will pick them

Good lord !!!!

Is trade "month" over yet.

Tippett would add to our forward line the question what will it cost us to get him? imo too much, we can't give away our first pick unless it's for a young talented inside mid because that is what we'll be drafting with it I suspect and if they have any brains.

Good lord !!!!

Is trade "month" over yet.
Is free-agency over yet?

Is trade "week" over yet?

Some of these proposed trades are just giving me a bloody headache tbh!

It wasn't so long ago that people predicted Hampson would break out into a Tippett type player. However, every time he has looked the goods he has gotten himself injured. If the comparison is there then why spend 700k for something that we effectively could already have?

We aren't dumb enough to pick up Raph Clarke. It would be a huge step backwards picking that guy up.

Just remember, it was SEN that reported it. So that's gives me enough confidence that we won't get him.

While i would Like Tippett at Carlton it wouldnt be at the expense of Gibbs, Potentially Tippett is one head knock away from being finished, so you have to ask is he worth the risk?
I will be very annoyed if we got Clarke, he is a major dud and would be pissed if he was clogging our list next year..We are the club who used to send duds to St.Kilda not the club who takes the duds from them..

SEN reported that Carlton are looking at Jack Watts saying him and malthouse formed a strong relationship somewhere, wonder if any truth in that ?

I can understand us looking at Watts although I doubt Melbourne would be keen to see him finally fulfill his potential elsewhere.

Would do him good for a change of scenery although not the monster forward we really want.

Malthouse and Watts have had a bittersweet relationship, which started during the pre-season competition when the multiple-premiership coach questioned the 22-year-old's workrate. Several months later he became a sounding board for Watts when he took on an informal mentoring role with the player, who was struggling with form.

In a surprising twist, Watts sought Malthouse's counsel after being the subject, yet again, of intense scrutiny because of his inability to live up to the hype associated with a No 1 pick.

Malthouse admitted the pair held regular football conversations that began at Watts's insistence.

"Jack is a ripping young lad," Malthouse said earlier in the season. "I think the kid just needs a bit of reassurance but he has not had it from the media because they still think he is the No 1 draft pick, which is not fair. I can, I suppose, give him another perspective."

Melbourne wouldn't part with Watts.

Next rumour.
