manicpie I'm with you bro. I've seen the photos you sent. Don't let sr36 get to you with his belittling comments. Its about 3cm long on my phone, so he's typed it with the same font size as the tattoo, which only just fits.
Cool that is great news touch wood.He has been back since wed. More or less full training. So far so good. Just as long as he isn’t pushing himself too hard but has been training well.

Decisions to drop key players are not taken lightly. But if you are not in the best 22 you are not in the best 22. In this case the decision was made before the first final. He's trolling the Crows...
Had Peter Maynard played four more games for Glenelg, he would have reached 200 games. Had he not been dropped from the 1990 finals series, he would probably have played those four games, and Brayden would have been tied to Adelaide, and possibly become the club's first father-son draftee at the end of this season.

You're a legend, Jen.All the videos aren't showing up, you'll have to click on the tweets. Sorry about that.
I can’t properly comment on Stynes because the last 25 years is about as far as I go back with non Collingwood players, but I’d agree that he’s at the very least level pegging based on the views of others. Begg is most definitely not worthy of comparison at that level.Stynes was probably a more stunning tall endurance conversion than Blic?

It's so easy to pan him for his early games, but when you take a step back and acknowledge both how truly awful we were forward of centre at the time and that he was someone who was actually presenting and converting his chances from limited opportunities was he really all that bad?Yeah I know kids tend to be inconsistent, but the gap between Ruscoes best and worse is truly massive.
He largely looked dreadful as a forward early in his AFL career. He looked lazy and flaky. OTOH when switched to defence he showed plenty at the end of 2021, Played with intensity, won 1 on 1 contests and used the ball sensibly. OK, I thought, he is a defender not a forward, onwards and upwards from here. I was therefore very disappointed in him this year, I thought he was terrible in the VFL; went backwards at a great rate of knots, really really poor and far worse then he produced previously. He looked slow, ponderous and ineffectual. OTOH, when he played AFL he played quite well, easily his best footy of the year - go figure....
I like Ruscoe when he plays well. At his best, he is quite a prospect, combines aggression, with good ball use and could be the player who releases Maynard into the midfield. But blimey, your just never sure which player is going to turn up...
Just the slowest in the top 10. Not overall, clearly. He came 10th.Harrison is one that's caught my eye early from your footage. Although he had the slowest 2km time, that's not necessarily a concern as he is one of the younger boys. He's almost a year younger than Nick Daicos so naturally his development will be slower. Harrison and Draper stand out from a mile away given their pre-pre-seasons and look set to take the game on.
Arlo:
Harrison:
Arlo is the one who excites me the most.Did anyone get maybe a little excited at Reef and Arlo in the same frame?
Makes for a nice vision of Reef bullocking his way to a possession on the inside and flicking it to Arlo on the outside fopr years to come.
Oh my, and here I was being told how important the tradition is for 1st draftee to wear it. Can we break the news to Ed Allan gently.
I have a tattoo on my private bit that says antidistablishmentarianism
BuggerThat must be embarrassing for you, as they’ve made a spelling mistake.
It’s antidisestablishmentarianism. Your old fella is missing an “e”…….

I'm older now, not sure I can fit that extra letter on. And no, I refuse to give him the sackMaybe you need to give the tattooist the sack.

That would have to be written in a font that only a flea with a telescope could readmanicpie I'm with you bro. I've seen the photos you sent. Don't let sr36 get to you with his belittling comments.
Thinking of getting a psalm on my private bit. Something short.
Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. Psalm 1:1-2
Unlike manicpie I'll sacrifice the sack for a word or two. That would have to be written in a font that only a flea with a telescope could read
The option of using the sack to fit it all on?Maybe you need to give the tattooist the sack.
Appalling, the use of ‘scum’, ‘maggots’ etcDon't know how the women here put up with this sort of behaviour.
Hey!!!

It’s slim pickings isn’t it? Crossley feels the best at VFL level, maybe Boyd in the SANFL although he seems a touch undersized and Free out of the WAFL. The issue is I’ve genuinely got no idea whether the latter two are remotely AFL relevant. Perhaps Broadbent if we’re looking at an overlooked player or Naismith if we’d like someone recently delisted.
The way it’s gone we’ll probably stick with what we have unless there’s a hidden basketballer up for grabs as a cat B option. I’d personally take a look at Ely Smith or Jacob Dawson and I’m sure someone will float Stack at some point![]()
I’d love us to target Crossley. I think he’d be the next coming of Mumford if he wants it enough.
Firstly the Blicavs comparisons are rubbish. He is the most unique player I’ve seen in my time watching the game. A 6’6 guy with the best endurance in the game from a non footy background is the most ridiculous comparison to make to any young player because we’ll probably never see it again.
Begg’s leap Elite? Not sure about that. What separates Begg is his ability to compete with that leap (it’s not at the level of Nic Nat to dominate) and get involved at ground level like Grundy once did.
People writing his obituary referencing his poor marking credentials need to hold the line because he’s no worse than Grundy in that space. His prospects will hinge on whether he can overcome the behemoth 205cm + ruckman once he’s filled out which we’re 2 to 3 years from figuring out.
