Not a hugely strong competition
2 huge guns in ormond and OMs
followed by a host of teams in the middle ie caulfield, brighton, beauy, collegians, mazenod
oakleigh and mentone arent much chop...
grand final already sowed up, interesting to see who gets the other 2 final spots

i actually play for collegians, but loved playing on junction oval, thats why my name is that...
i am extremely happy that we won yesterday and that OM lost yesterday
really good and now we have a close comp

Excellent come from behind win by Collegians, Monders stopped running, if not for the speedy Monders backline margin could have blown out, big fella for collegians with dreadlocks took some telling marks in the last quarter. The win by Lions and Beauy has brought the competition back to life ..well done.

Orm without Gawn, Willis, Allan, Hine, Ricketson, Cameron (all Sandy Dragons or Seniors except for Ricketson/Cameron -inj). Still all unders teams have kids missing for these reasons, Orm had about a 35 point lead at one stage in 3rd Quarter and were over taken by a more committed Lions. Lions may need to be careful with language, could easily get them in trouble with umps as did on Sat with send off. Big fella with dreadlocks marked everything inside 50 in last quarter. too good.

you cannot tell me that those umpires didnt deserve the language??? ormond were given some very generous and dubious decisions... however, was a really good come from behind win, 6 goals to 1 in the last quater showed ormond ran out of legs and collegians were dominant, with corp (dreadlocks) and kamenar (speedy half backman) having very good last quaters.... good to see the comp has become more even

Yes Umps were very inconsistent and you got the rough end of the pineapple but if you are a Lions player or a friend of one it would be a shame if you lost a game because you had less than 18 on the field due to swearing, merely a tip, the umps have been told to crack down, so wake up a be smart.

Lions seemed very fit and committed still will be no match for OM's when at full strength.

How different is the Collegians side to early in the year???? They got smacked by a few sides - Beauy, Caulfield, Melburnians in the early stages????

Lions look good, strong in the air and quick, surprised they haven't won a few more games but if they can keep their side toegther should play finals at least. What happened to OM'S??

There seniors aren't going so well so perhaps they took a few up into the side. Otherwise they could just be heading to the snow!!!!!!!!

a lot of our players only played there first game in round 1, also we picked up a couple of guys during the season... the team is starting to get fit and come together as a team, still lost to the likes of brighton, beauy, melbourne and caulfield, who are all looking for top 4 positions
should be an interesting second half to the season

Yes doing well junction boy, do you play with the Lions? how do you rate OM's and Monders? Saw a bit of Lions game Sat Orm had a couple of quick back liners but lacked on ballers.

I thought ormond were going to be a lot better, considering they didnt lose to melbourne by 100 points like we did.... having said that, the lions have improved greatly since melbourne... i also think ormond probably should have beaten us considering the 3/4 time lead

Tips for this round:
Brighton comfortably over Oakleigh
Ormond even comfortablyer over Mentone
Caulfield to just get over Lions in a close match
Melbourne 20+ over Mazenod
Beauy quite clearly over Haileybury

Collegians deserved to win, they played out the game. Ormond won the first 3 quarters then it all went downhill with no run at all. The ball just bounced back from their half forward line as there were no forwards. Delivery was poor into the forward line also. Collegians ran out the game so all credit to them.

Alot of time left in the season, hopefully becomes more competitive.

Ormond v haileybury on Friday night the 27th (6:30 i think) at Sportscover Arena hopefully a good turn out and great atmosphere.

mentone is going to smash beauy this week with mentone targeting young gun jack coleman. also well done to jack for earning promotion from clubbies into the ressies. it all looks on the up for this young superstar

lets be honest here, mentone arent going to win anything even with those school boys...
we played mentone and then beauy, it is clear the beauy are a class above mentone....

im notsure about that junKtion.

we have both played collegians in the past couple of weeks and scores have shown there to be a varying difference. at keysie with the seniors and ressies spurring us on there ma be an upset on the cards
