Hi all, just wondering what the movements of the section 2 under 19s league were. Rupo and Banyule seem like they'll struggle a bit up in the 1s. What of the Caulfield Garmmarians who were recently relegated?
Apparently their skipper Hardy (22) is handy. Any thoughts?

already worried about 2007 after 2 rounds in?? A tad too early for me

i would say St Kevins are due for a stint in section two Cowboy. Number 4 only shining light.

Could be the case if improvement doesn't come soon. Got decently spanked by the Rupo lads yesterday. Disappointing but no excuses. They are good tough side and will hold their own in sec 1. As for us in sec 2, we'll have to wait and see.

From what i saw on the weekend Banyule:thumbsd: will be back as well as either collegians and st kevins dont have much to offer at the moment. And my boys from Xavier are charging at the moment they are my prediction for the flag playing outstanding footy at th emoment.:thumbsu:

Cowboy , are there any under 19s playing in the 1s at SKOB this year ?

Not sure grinder, just started getting into the ammos as a spectator recently. Thought I'd get onto this site to see what all the fuss is about. A couple of mates play in one of the country leagues and got me on to it. From what I've seen on this site De La Salle appear to be one of the few teams to have kept the majority of the side from last year so on that note I'd say a few 19s are either pushing up or have kept a senior spot from last year. That's be a guess though.

Good to see. I really enjoy seeing the under's pushing up and playing well in senior footy. They are the future of the game after all.
Any surprise results in u19 sec 2 on the w/e? I know Caulfield got over OT with a kick after the siren?
Any others?

We are the team the beat in section 2 this year! H3ll we'd probably be the team to beat in section 1. Can anyone on this thread give an honest opinion which disagees with mine?

We played an ordinary brand of football last week against carey. I still feel as though the scoreboard flattered the boys from bulleen, but credit where credit's due...they will make the finals and probably join OM's in the big one.

OM28, with the seniors languishing on the bottom and the 19s going so well, how many 19s are playing senior footy this year at OM's?

OM's would get cained by no less than 80pts by both de la and xavs in section 1, and probably uni blues as well. Don't be ridiculous OM28, you may be the best (after less than 1/2 the season has been played) in div2 but its a long way up to the top of div1. As for this division, watch for the fella's from BGS to come into the 2nd half of the season with some strong performances. Have some real guns playing for them and after a shaky start are beginning to gel as a team much better - especially after low confidence early after a few close losses. Not saying they'll win the flag or be in the same league as OM's or Carey(who ive also tipped for the flag), but are sure to test out a few!

My money is on CAREY for the flag (at this early stage of the season):It looks like carey were the ones playing the ordinary brand of footy against OM's, kicking 6.14 (6 more scoring shots) - one more straight kick and they would've been home by a point. A few more and a close win for OM's would soon turn to a sound victory for carey.2. Lets not forget that 3 of OMs wins have been against members of the bottom 4, whilst another was against a team who is 2nd and lost as a result of some loose kicks... However carey has played similar teams so maybe this is of little consequence? In any event, the litmus test is this week for the carey boys v. 3rd placed paradians (who have thumped some quality in uni blacks & old camberwell - but note they were beaten by my quickly-rising boys from brighton). A win would only affirm them as favourites (only by a whisker from OM), a loss would put OM's clearly in front. But that's just my 2 cents and im sure everyone else has their own thoughts and theories. Top 4: Carey (no doubt top 2)OM (also no doubt top 2, but 2nd for the reasons above)BGS (watch for the oncoming form)Paradians (have to be included as a real chance)

old carey played against the old paradians and lost by 3 goals anyone c the match and surprises in the result how did the position for leading goalkicker go between bull (carey) and solomon (parade)
