Love the victory speech as well. The booing is outlier though rather than the norm.

I think it was booing the chair umpire rather than booing Naomi. Yes that was poor by the crowd to the point where Naomi need to apologize to win the championship.

As for the womens final, I thought it was alright. Would have been excellent if both played well at the same time. Or perhaps it was simply Osaka getting the ball in the court and just being way too good for Victoria. I remember thinking at the time when Azarenka was 2-0, 40-30 up and losing that it would be costly. After that, Osaka won 8/12 games.

Crazy that Osaka only wins the big big tournaments.

This final is a shht, Thiem just can’t seem to win GS’. Was hoping it was just bc the top three are always there and too good to defeat but he should be able to defeat Zverev.

Very surprising score line. You'd think Zverev will get super tight the closer this third set gets to the end so Thiem will need to be ready to take advantage of that.
