Tricky one...may be up to apollo_creed to adjudicate, but so far the margin has equalled, but not surpassed Gore's in 2000.
Surely you're allowed to go to decimal points here. Obama eclipsed Gore by roughly half a percentage point.

The question states largest by majority, so it depends if it's largest vote share or largest margin.

I took it to mean largest vote share, but it's up to the OP to decide.
