We have Josh Fraser playing and Jaxson Barham playing. I don't usually bake players but for us to be a successful team we need to develop players, now with Luke Ball and Johnno (& Dids) all sitting to be right for the weeks break and playing the Dees why couldn't we have opted for the likes of young Blair a young in and under player to replace Ball instead of Barham..

The use of Josh Fraser in our team is pointless and he shouldn't be in the teams next week. Chris Dawes has been tremendous for us and yet we drop him after one average performance to go with Jack Anthony. Checkout the games against the Saints, we had no key forward and our scoring was horribly inaccurate yet we dropped Anthony the week before.

Then the Cats game where we again drop Anthony and really could have stretched the Cats defense with Dawes and Anthony working inside the 50 metre arc. Again our scoring was effected.

The Lions game again.. no key forward this time Dawes is dropped the week before and we are left wondering what may have been. You might say it worked ok against the Doggies but lets be honest it was a free flowing game and a good game for our mids which resulting in alot of running goals. When the game got tight we couldn't score on our forward thrusts, we had Fraser running around whilst Hudson and Minson had a ball whilst Jolly rested.

Last week proved my theory, poor Clokey had 2 or 3 hanging off him and although Dick kicked 4 we didn't have that second big forward to make a contest for our smaller guys and as a result 22 points were scored from our indirect thrusts forward.

We have to remove Fraser from the team and bring in a target and even bring in Wood and rest Jolly up forward. Something needs to be done, I'm not baking anyone just my honest opinion to something that sticks out in my eyes. Barham I'm probably a little harsh on but 3 turnovers in the last quarter from 4 touches speaks for itself. Had we given young Blair a game we may have come away feeling a little better knowing that we are in a position to play our kids whilst our experienced guys are injured rather then guys who can't get a game in our best 22 period and have had the chance and were dropped for these reasons.

We have Josh Fraser playing and Jordan Barham playing.

I agree, Jordan Barham is a hack. I'm not that harsh on Jaxson Barham though.

Don't think calling for Fraser's head is anything new or novel though; the 3 topics on him after the Melbourne game attest to that :thumbsu: It is worth pointing out Mick has said we will be rotating our group of 28 or so players every week this year to ensure we have adequate coverage and expierance available. But if Fraser is named in a final I'll spit chips, big time. Barham too isn't in our best 22, but I have less issues with him getting games at the moment.

Barham deserved another chance, but he seimply wasn't goo enough.

The other "choices" have not put together the games in a row at VFL level that Barham has, and therefore Barham got a game.

Long term, Josh Thomas is the one that will leap frog all of the Blairs, Cooks, Barhams etc in the VFL and become our next cog in the senior midfield.

But that is still 2-3 years away in terms of senior consistency, and thus different players will be used when they "deserve" a game.

I had no problem with selection this week, the players let the coaches and selectors down this week, more then the selection group let the team down.

There are various threads on Josh, so I won't much at all on him, as most would know my thoughts on a player I have supporter for 10 years, but have grown tiresome of.

Not sure Presti had a genuine matchup, and still not a massive fan of no Dawes or Anthony, but apart from that I agree. Don't think it was the list that caused the draw.

Barham should not play on Davey again this year...

Barham should be groomed in the seniors though - his VFL form has demanded an opportunity... In saying that he will probably make way for players returning from injury... but shouldn't be dropped because Malthouse left him on Davey all game - Malthouse should be dropped for that.

This thread survives on the LOL value of Jordan Barham who for what it's worth is an absolute legend. Trust me he may not be able to, mark over head, he maybe soft, a plodder and too short for the AFL but he is set for a brownlow I tell you, young Jordan is a star.

Anyway please take any serious discussion on the issues too the Josh Fraser roast, The Barham roast or the fowardline discussion. Cheers

OK enough of the [strike]strike through[/strike] writing already.
Back on topic, we can't win if the [strike]umpires[/strike] opposition beat us!
