What a load of bollocks! What were his sources... a bloke down the pub & a voice he heard one night on the piss?!? This is the bullshit bleating of a moron who can't understand that you can't pull up you socks if you're not wearing any!

I wouldnt find it funny if any club was stripped of a premiership because of salary cap cheating or performance enhancing drugs

When Eddy McGuire kept beating his chest and saying he had a story that would rock football -i was praying it wasnt involving Geelong -and that we could lose a premiership ( it was only the Croisca thing)

Costa has been given alot of credit -but im glad hes gone . That 3rd party deal he had with Ablett was ridiculous and for mine was skating very close to the ice . The president of a football club paying the best player at the club for a 3rd party deal -stunk to high heaven . For mine all 3rd party deals stink -and compromise the salary cap

The best thing about the AFL Is that through the Salary cap and draft -every teams got a chance to win premierships -which is great

Costa -has been given all this great credit -but the fact is if Westpac hadnt written off about $5 million of debt-then there would have been no Geelong Football club as it is today . If it was XYZ Pty Ltd who owed them the $5million -they would have liquidated them.

Yeah your rihgt about that...i guess we would feel that them premierships were tainted, regardless that we enjoyed them at the time, we would feel cheated and turned off by them more and more.

As devastating as it would be, it wouldnt change my love for the club.

Well I was a Storm supporter at the time and I did go through it and today I can tell you that I am no longer a Storm supporter.

I live in Canberra so Rugby League is big. As a kid I barracked for the Raiders but jumped ship when the Storm came into existence. I remember the 07 and 09 Premierships as so fantastic, it was the best feeling. I loved the club and loved those premierships.

I still remember that day in 2010 when it all came crashing down. It was like I'd been hit by a train. A poster in this thread talked about the emotion and highs of the Cats premierships and how that couldn't be taken away. Well the emotion and highs of the Storm Premierships made it so much worse. To feel so great about something and then to find out it was a lie, to believe in a club and a team and to find out they are frauds, it's nothing short of absolutely devastating.

I hated them for what they did to the comp. I hated them for what they did to the fans of other teams. I hated them for what they did to me. I just couldn't support that organisation, and the people in it.

I didn't know what I would do long term so basically I stopped caring about the NRL competition. From 2010-2012 I basically had nothing to do with the NRL comp, but I was still passionate about the sport and so I enjoyed SoO and NSW Cup.

So as the years went I started to think about the situation. What should I do? The Storm of the past and everything I felt about them were dead. I felt negatively towards them. Could I put that behind me and start again with the Storm? Should I go back to the Raiders? Should I just not have a team?

It was a really hard decision. In those few years my views on expansion teams changed dramatically. Everything that I had come to believe about football clubs pointed me away from the Storm and towards the Raiders. It's been a long hard road where I've had to forgive myself for betraying the Raiders all those years ago but I feel really comfortable in the lime green again.

As for the Storm, I don't hate them but I will never ever like them.

I love Aussie Rules much more than rugby league and I love the Cats much more than I ever loved the Storm. So to answer the question; I have absolutely no idea. It would be infinitely more devestating than the Storm saga. I think it would probably kill the AFL for me. Maybe I'd be able to come back to the Cats, maybe I'd switch to the Saints who are a close second.

Probably I'd just concentrate on my state league and district teams; Port Melbourne and Fitzroy in Victoria, and Queanbeyan and Ainslie in the ACT.

Stuff like the Tippett incident or saint kilda schoolgirl... lol who cares! That stuff is mainly just funny.
