Obviously they wont bring charges for it because it is not easy to prove that there was a serious intent to act on the threat but lets not excuse the behaviour. It is a form of emotional abuse and he has multiple women who have experienced the same issues with him.

Lets also not forget that Mason Greenwood had his charges dropped, doesn't mean he is any less of a scumbag after listening to the audio of his abuse.

I don't think you will find many North fans excusing him and I'm his biggest critic.

But lets not also exaggerate the issues. These aren't typical domestic violence charges.

His actions are serious and warrant the response from the club. However if he was actually charged with serious DV charges, it's unlikely he'd still be in the AFL at all at this point.

Greenwood bashed his girlfriend in a recording and police dropped the charges after she no longer wanted to give evidence after recieving a massive private payout. There's a big difference.

What I get from this (more than anything club specific because every club has stuff like this in their history) is just a confirmation that it was beyond ridiculous that Wayne Carey got a media gig

It’s actually sickening that what took him off the air was none of his history with women but instead that he got caught at a casino with cocaine

He's an unprofessional turd at the moment, but I find it interesting that "threat to distribute an intimate image" is being construed as "domestic violence" charges by some.

I've even heard comparisons to Mason Greenwood in the media alarmingly.

Do what I say (whilst in a current relationship/ one that has recently failed) or I will do something highly embarrassing with information provided to me in the context of a relationship. Yup, no DV there at all.

You know what's really funny? North supporters have made a song and dance about JHF all offseason and trying to link him to his step father's historical crimes relating to domestic violence. Meanwhile, Tarren Thomas is being charged with DV related offenses, They have 2 other players with father's who have outstanding court appearances (Powell and Archer) and their Coach is under investigation for some (whilst not criminal) horrific s**t, having a long history of feral acts on the field, and borderline illegal behavior off it. On top of this, their last premiership side has multiple domestic abusers in it. It's spectacularly funny.

Both have accepted him into their fold and really should be questioned as to why.

It’s essentially the first 40 years of his life being a complete s**t (assaulting women, brawling police) were forgotten about with 4-5 years of not assaulting women.

They lack success and relevancy so seem to want to retain talented players at all costs. Even if the cost is harassment of women.

Are you as new to Port as you are to BF?

Port players were involved in some of the most serious offences in terms of sexual assault.

And then a massive bribe to buy silence. Along with the Swans. With the AFL and police being completely okay with it.

I dont think TT will get himself a 4Corners episode.

There was some serious allegations made against some of our players in the 90's. John Elliott just paid the women making those claims off.

Apparently there was a rape claim against one of our players in the late 90's, that John Elliott believed to be true.

So taking all that into account, i'm not sure we're in a position to be pointing our fingers at other clubs imo.

It’s not a list of things North people have done wrong. That’s not the club’s fault. It’s the bizarre lack of serious response from the club. They just don’t seem to take it seriously.
