As others have said, thats not even close to an unbeatable record. Bartel is already well on his way, and Gold Coast could easily win a flag in the next three/four years for Ablett to slot in as well. Heck, if Steve Johnson can manage to play a full season for a change, he could almost be up there as well.

Surely no team in the AFL will break the record for picking a worse player than Richard Tambling at number four. Unbelievable record, truly changed the face of football and drafting.
Morton completely slipped my mind. They'll both go down in the history books. How about Cale Morton, pick 4 2007 Draft. You cant deny it's a close call.
and Melbourne can go for another 49 years without winning another, while voting in the majority to merge with another club....amirite?Collingwood can also lose more GFs during that time - their head start is too great.
Jimmy Bartel's on 249 games, I wouldn't count him out just yet.
Would think abletts nine goal grand final is pretty safe
Nickname = shotgun......????????What about most points scored by an individual player before he kicks a goal.
Lewis Jetta = 19
Don't think he has multiple AAs in him. I think Simon Black has a few BnFs too.
didnt dees do that in 1900?OK, an obscure one that will never be broken:
Fitzroy winning both the wooden spoon and the premiership in the same season. And no, there were no disqualifications involved.

Helen D'Amico: Biggest streaker bush in the 1982 Grand Final.
