This thread created by a team who has taken cheating to a new level, and still only managed to run its finances into near insolvency.

Barry Hall and Everitt were also kindly left out.

Saints had frequent new club management until recently so dont throw stones from your glass house.

Freo's success at converting rookie listed players to good AFL players is probably better or as good as any other team.

Freo is top five or six for members rising annually - and this for a team you all call hopeless.

Rising annual profits in the millions at a level most of you are recieving in bailouts from the AFL.

Most importantly of all which should make you all pray to your God every night before you sleep. Without Freo you'd have alot less $$ flowing into the game through crowds and TV rights and without the $$$ most of your clubs would have been merged or folded. In short Freo is your saviour !
But why do they suck so much on the field? You've been given more top 10 draft picks then St Kilda and the Bulldogs (half of which you've traded) over the years and you've had plenty of rising star nominees but you still can't make the eight. Answer the question, what the hell is wrong with your club?

They didnt recruit enough Claremont players when they first started out, a few players were still left playing in reserves. Shocking Fremantle.....

There isn't anything wrong with Fremantle... well perhaps The Clink is a bit of a dive and that taxi rank gets a bit feral after 4am.

There there.

At the moment, too many of our players stand back and watch the ball when the going gets tough.

Previously our list was no way near good enough.

The year they win both Derbys is the year they will be feared for the first time, they will have turned the corner mentally.

Disagree with this

I think that worrying too much about what the mob up the road were doing is what got them mentally into trouble in the first place.

From what i can gather this was one of the first things that Connolly addressed when he was appointed to the Coaching position, and has succeded fairly well in this respect

IMO the club just doesn't seem to have any idea on how to run a football club.
Trading and THEIR draft pick selections are woeful
Talented players are wasted
Mediocre performance are tolerated

I couldn't believe their supporters clapped them off the ground after what was an insipid finals loss against Essendon.

They need some real football ppl down there.

How completely ironic and completely uninformed at the same time...
Amazing...

Their coach. He looks depressed everytime you see him. It's affecting the team.

CC probably needs to bounce around and have an ear to ear grin.

Mick Malthouse could teach him a thing or two. Do you think MM's bubbly personality is the secret to Collingwood's recent success?

Do you think that having a crabby demeanour is the secret to Collingwood's recent success? Connolly trying to behave like a real coach doesn't make him one ;)

That said, you could do worse for a football manager than him. Shame he's senior coach.

I didn't see much of them this year. When we played Freo at the SCG two guys were suspended (internal discipline) and there were some injuries as well. I do think Freo would benefit from some leadership and a shake up of the culture. I wonder how many of the other players gave those two s*** about not taking recovery and reabilitation seriously?

BTW - Freo rocks. Was there a few weeks ago. Great food, great beer. Mmmm, beer....

Matthew Pavlich. Peter Bell. Josh Carr. Matthew Carr. Jeff Farmer. Robert Haddrill. Paul Hasleby. Des Headland. Justin Longmiur. Luke McPharlin. Paul Medhurst. David Mundy. Graham Polak. Aaron Sandilands. Byron Schammer. Heath Black.

They have all these players, most of them talented enough to be superstars of the game and some of them already are, yet they can't even make the eight? If Carlton had these players running around in navy blue each week I'd be expecting premierships and lots of them.

What is wrong with Fremantle?

GOALS GOALS AND MORE GOALS! Not enough goal kicking power, cut their losses and get rid of medhurst, waste of space and try place pavlich FF

Spot on assessment.
Medhurst could only manage 6 out of a total of 43 this year against your rabble.
Not good enough Paul.

At least they have Schammer.

We would have loved them all to be running around each week as well.

Matthew Pavlich. 22 games with a shoulder that pops out.
Peter Bell. 18/22 games
Josh Carr. 22 games in a new team
Matthew Carr. 13/22 games becuse of a stress fracture in the leg
Jeff Farmer. 19/22 games
Robert Haddrill. Played 6 quarters for the year
Paul Hasleby. Played 22 games with a sportmans hernia.
Des Headland. 15/22 games
Justin Longmiur. 21/22 games
Luke McPharlin. 19/22 games
Paul Medhurst. 22 games
David Mundy. Debuted round 6 and got better & better.
Graham Polak. 14/22 games because of a knee.
Aaron Sandilands. 18/22 games had trouble early with the new ruck rules
Byron Schammer. 16/22 games broken wrist
Heath Black. 22 games in a new team , a shining light.
James Walker 13/22 games becuase of a stress fracture of his leg.
Rodger Hayden 0/22 games recovering from a broken leg.

The middle of the season was when it was worst as everyone seemed to be injured or coming back from injury.

Watch out in 2006! ;)
