I am all in favour of a good bit of Freo bashing but this has been done a hundred times before.

we are the greatest AFL team to have never won a final.
I'll go out on a limb and say come Monday, nothing will seemingly be wrong with Freo. The week after, who knows.

Their mascot is a dock worker. We all know union dock workers are lazy and expect everyone else to put in the hard work instead of themselves.

I keep hearing about what a great "list" Freo have. But you know what? Maybe it ain't that great. Maybe there's a few great players and a lot of average players, and not much depth. Most of Freo's players are inconsistent and it shows on the scoreboard. Why do so many people insist that Freo has a great list, when quite plainly, it's not. It's not bad, but it's not that great, in fact most lists are probably very similar talentwise and potentially.
According to some points of view around here, Freo should have won a couple of premierships, a Brownlow or two and had a record number of All-Australians by now. Well, they have not, and they are not even close, as aren't a lot of clubs. Sure they've had some good games followed by some shockers, but who hasn't?
Polak is a 6 foot 4 kpp who's just turned 21, and he's supposed to be a worldbeater. Well he's had a lot of injuries and that's hurt his development, it's not rocket science. But he has played some blinders for Freo and will play many more.
So Pav spent a year or two playing in the midfield. So what, he's not the first tall player to be tried there (Kouta, Hird, probably others). Contrary to a lot of opinions around here, he actually played some good footy there, and at the time, I for one, couldn't see too many other options in that midfield.
Take the fullback, CHB and FF out of any side and replace them with inexperienced youngsters and yes, they will struggle.
