These works of art are now part of footy history..anyone still got one from the old days?

Not a duffle coat, but I loved old vision of Collingwood and Essendon fans wearing black and white and black and red tuxedos to games.

This thread is up every year. See if I can dig up some old ones.

I think they're great. Super naff, but great.

Gave up my seat on the train last night for an older lady who was wearing a ripper duffle…

Names on the arms included Greg Wells, Jimmy Buckley, Wayne Johnston and so on…

The back was an homage to Kenny Hunter and on the front were all these ironed-on patches with names and faces…too old to make anything out I'm afraid.

Looked bloody awesome.

Sexual deviants have ruined duffle coats for everyone.

rubbish duffle coats a great especially if you need to pick up younger siblings from school, why just last week i got a police escort in and out of the school zone didn't even have to wait for a park.

I lived in Perth but was really impressed seeing all the duffel coats being worn on Melbourne city-centre streets on weekdays in May 1984. By my next trip, May 1986, it seemed like they were still being worn at the grounds but not outside the grounds. Does this sound right?

They were huge in Adelaide in 1984 but never caught on in Perth, the weather being one reason. There were three or four guys in the whole of Perth wearing them - a Clarememt cheer squad member - Peter 15 Jamieson on the back of the coat, me (Road 8 Alderton, West Perth) and my school-mate Paul D. with Brad 8 Hardie (South Fremantle). a member of the Perth cheer squad had one too I believe, they were the biggest WAFL cheer squad in 1984-86.

At my high-school in Perth (1981-85), some ex-Melbourne residents wore theirs to school and really stood out - we had Ken 9 Hunter (Carlton), Mike 9 Turner (Geelong) and Peter 30 Moore (Collingwood).
