Jack Darling has to be up there. The man has the widest shoulders and thickest arms in the league. Absolutely dwarfed Toby Nankervis in size during the coin toss today, and he's a ruckman!

Some other potential candidates:
  • Josh Kennedy (SYD)
  • Olivander Wines (PA)
  • Samuel Powell-Pepper (PA)
  • Shannon Hurn (WCE)
  • Nic Natanui (WCE)
  • Marcus Adams (BRI)
  • Sean Darcy (FRE)

If we are talking the traditional bench press? I’d be backing Daw, Hawkins or May.

For squats I’d say Yeo or Nic Nat.

No way Cripps is stronger than Martin.
Pound for pound overall it's Dustin and Sydney Stack.

I hear if you measure strength by bench press, deadlift, calisthenics, grip all the Richmond players are ahead of everyone else. They also eat more fibre and run faster than players from every other team. And have higher IQs.

Charlie Dixon would be up there.

Current playing list

Powell Pepper - Hard at it seems to have a very strong core
Josh Kennedy - Sydney - In his last year/s now but tough to prevent him getting a disposal away
Dustin Martin - For his build almost impossible to stop that fend off.
Tom Hawkins - If he wants to move you, you'll move
Jake Stringer - Because he keeps tearing my team a new one

Levi Casboult

Rhys Stanely routinely holds all the lifting records at Geelong, beating out Hawkins

Geelong social team forgot to add that’s with a slingshot (adds a lot to the bench at the bottom). AFL players aren’t strength athletes so the numbers on the power lifts are generally not that impressive. The blokes who are gonna bench/squat/dead the most are generally gonna be the shorter/stockier types.
