A revelation
He has some important attributes for a forward in the modern game.

No doubt he is naturally a defender but but but
I am not altogether convinced his future is not up forward.

I scratch my head - what does he lack to be a forward? Crashes packs, leads up well, passes off well, is creative, gives good defensive pressure and whilst his kicking style is unorthodox the results from those kicks are more than acceptable.

His 19 still!!! He has all of 11 games experience. Averaging a goal a game as a forward.

It's the reincarnation of Dermot Brereton!

Necessity was the master of invention. The injury to redpath meant we needed another tall to at least compete & bring the ball to ground.

Well he did that and more

He was terrific as a "lock down forward" in the finals series. Like an inversion of Dale Morris. Got a battler's mindset and plenty of interest in the physical side of the game. His kicking is pretty poor which might see him better serve us in the F50 as a pest and finisher.

With how important intercept marking in the backline is becoming and of course locking the ball inside 50 could Zaine Cordy pioneer the defensive tall forward role? Could definitely see a few clubs use it, especially against a club like ours who thrive on intercepting.

Yeah reckon it's a real possibility especially if he can keep snagging a goal or two each game as well. Would push Cloke back to the VFL though. And Cordy might be needed down back with Hammer going. But he did it well (very well considering his experience) so we'd have to be considering it imo.

His kicking is far better than what has been exposed at AFL level. Think the pace of the game still gets to him.
