Shield sides anyone? Can't imagine any major changes other than the will they/won't they with Agar at seven.

Harris
Bancroft
Klinger
Voges
S.Marsh
Whiteman+
Agar
Rimmington
NCN
Dorff
Hogan

Alternative is Rimmington out and a batsman in, but can't really see someone like Beaton strengthening the side that much TBH.

SOS is a pretty good chance to be in the world cup squad

Rimmo is almost first picked this season.

Fully agree, but can't see the selectors dropping Hogan, NCN or Dorf if push comes to shove.

First grade batting aggregate makes for interesting reading;

1 Towers, Luke Melville 12 15 5 1 5 1 59 6 1406 109* 599 59.90 57.5
2 Inglis, Josh Joondalup 12 12 3 2 2 0 57 9 842 116* 564 62.67 84.1
3 Swart, Michael R Joondalup 13 13 1 1 4 0 57 5 1043 103 553 46.08 72.2
4 Johnston, Matthew J Willetton 12 12 1 1 3 0 57 10 1132 120 547 49.73 57.7
5 Bosisto, William University 12 13 1 2 3 2 39 6 1007 126 534 44.50 68.4
6 Armstrong, Timothy J Midland-Guildford 13 13 1 0 5 2 48 9 992 91 504 42.00 65.1
7 Fawcett, Jake Wanneroo DCC 11 10 3 1 3 0 42 5 742 105* 491 70.14 73.1
8 How, Calum Subiaco Floreat CC 12 14 2 2 1 0 54 1 920 132 453 37.75 59.8
9 Wheater, Adam J Perth CC 10 12 1 1 2 1 48 9 603 109 439 39.91 95.4
10 Godfrey, James Willetton 12 12 2 1 3 1 50 750 101* 420 42.00 65.1

Out of those, you'd probably rule a line through Towers, Swart and Johnston getting another go.

Bowling is a little bit simpler - the day Ty Hopes gets a black cap is the day I move interstate.

no 33, Stewart Walters...I feel like that is a fairly uncommon name. Didn't he play for Surrey?

33rd in the bowling is Mudassar Bukhari! That has to be the Dutch bowler.

Yes to both. Would love to see more of it TBH - particularly with the Irish/PNG/Dutch/Scottish. Plenty will be just as decent as the county pros grade clubs normally get out and it does a bit more for cricket globally.

Walters was at Glamorgan last year - a big WA connection with Goodwin, Allenby and Hogan all there too. The things ICC teaches you!

Bukhari came to Joondalup for the first half of the season, then left for the recent associates series - no doubt it was his Dutch teammate Michael Swart who brought him over.

Adam Wheater is from Hampshire, apparently a pretty good prospect as a wicket keeper batsman. Dom Sibley, the guy who made a double ton for Surrey as an 18 year old has been playing for Midland-Guildford and doing reasonably well.

Duff had a good big bash, though. I've never really rated Rimmington's bowling, though he is a very handy lower order bat.

Mackin I can't really comment on.
Rimmington has been great in the Shield this season, like I said before he's one of the first picked this season. Mackin has been impressive, such a tall bloke so gets that bounce and has been pretty accurate. Though if Paris is fit and gets Grade form I'd pick him ahead of them.
