Adelaide lose: Sam kerridge and pick 9 and 28
Gain: Tim o'brian and Bryce gibbs

Hawthorn lose: John ceglar, Tim O'brian
Gain Casboult

Carlton lose: Casboult and gibbs
Gain: John ceglar, sam kerridge, pick 9, 28

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
THEN
Carlton trade pick 9, 20 and 28 and Henderson 1round compensation pick
Gain- tomilson, plowman, sumner, lamb

GWS trade- tomilson, plowman, sumner, lamb
Gain- pick 9, 20 and 28 and Henderson compensation pick 2016

Different positions. On basic terms Tomlinson is a tall winger, he will be at GWS. You don't sell him at his lowest point. Under contract, required.
Definitely not a winger, he is seen as CHF who can also play down back. You don't do a lot of things but this is purely hypothetical, seems fair in a hypothetical situation?

Hardly...GWS are getting reamed and Carlton are too. Adelaide are making out as bandits.

Too big a trade, keep the team(s) to 3. These multi team deals, well most of the time one team is being screwed.

Explain how they are getting reamed,
Also it's two different trades the first just makes the second possible

How so? Just because they were taken with first round pick doesn't mean that's still there worth especially If they don't play and are starved of opportunity

Perfect example: jon o'rourke pick no2 traded for end of first round pick

Unlike O'Rourke, Plowman has had a good season before your trade. O'Rourke was constantly injured. Worth a top 15 selection considering Melksham went for pick 25. Tomlinson won't be traded and certainly not in that deal.

Is this the same injury prone plowman that played 2games this season?

If you consider that a VFL player Anderson went for pick 15...Melksham went pick 25...Plowman is worth at the very least a late first rounder. He had a decent year in the NEAFL, still maturing into his body. I know it is the 'it' thing, but GWS won't always agree to being reamed.

Anderson fills a need for north and they paid overs, unsure why but I'm not complaining.
With the new rules coming in soon where the expansion clubs have to lock up their players and cut down there lists some fringe players who whilst they do have the "it" factor may end up being sacrificed.

You trade your fringe players sure...that doesn't mean you trade Tomlinson...or Plowman when KPD depth is probably GWS's only real areas to address still.

Problem is he isn't the type of KPD they need. I'm actually surprised they haven't gone after pick one this year

Any other year they probably go after pick 1. Bit hamstrung by having to match bids on Hopper and Kennedy. Don't mind Plowman as a KPD though, probably more your athletic tall though and not your true KPD.

Aish and pick 21 to hawthorn
Brisbane get picks 18 and 15

GWS get picks 17+18 to match academy bids for pick 8. The two picks combined are worth between picks 4 and 5.

Brisbane:8 and 15
Hawthorn:Aish and 21
GWS:17 and 18.

I wouldn't cry about that if we miss out on Carlisle so long as an early third came out way too

It's because of the week draft and ~6 academy players before 15. Definitely before 20.

I reckon, that pick is where Anderson probably would have gone.

Plus north are desperate for ready made picks, rather then an 18 year old @ 15.

Two thirds will not be enough for TBell.

Anderson was also with 2 x 2nd rounders. Milkshakes can be ignored as an outlier, no one know's why Melbourne did the deal and it's now holding up the Carsilie trade since Dorodo has adjusted all his rankings.

GWS would be getting pick 9, cats first for next yr (which helps with their two gun academy players next year) pick 20 and 28 for 4 players that they can prob afford to lose Tomlinson is prob their best 22 player out of those and Carlton end up getting 4 talented young kids that SOS obviously rates highly to start their rebuild 21 and 22 year olds will speed up the rebuild process and they get weitering this year too

Blues are being bent over by GWS if that went through. 2 of those GWS players will probably be delisted yet we are giving them pick 2 2nd rounders. 2 good 1st round picks for a 2 blokes that can't get games for a variety of reasons.
SOS would be marched out of the club the following day for giving up so much.

GWS trade- tomilson, plowman, sumner, lamb
Gain- pick 9, 20 and 28 and Henderson compensation pick 2016

By the end of that
Out: Casboult, Gibbs, Henderson, 20
In: Ceglar, Kerridge, Tomlinson, Plowman, Sumner, Lamb

Our 2 best forwards (not saying much but still) + one of the few on our list that has real talent + pick 20 for Tomlinson + 5 fringe players. No thanks. Fringe players aren't going to improve our list heaps (Jaksch, Tutt). If Plowman etc come cheap then yeah, but not overpaying.

Breaking down the GWS part:
9 is probably what it'd take to get Tomlinson. Personally don't rate him there, but he's contracted, so we have to pay up. Fair enough.
2016 first rounder for Plowman. Could be 8-16. Would think this is overs for us, Plowman hasn't shown a lot and was already a reach for GWS at the time I believe? GWS would happily keep him if we offered up 20 I expect, but I'm sure we can draft a reasonable player with 20 too, so no need to pay overs.
20 for Sumner. So far overs.
28 for Lamb. So far overs.

Only the Tomlinson part are we not getting screwed over on...
