My mail is the Eagles have their sights on player/s and pick 1 is defs up for grabs. This was the same mail that said Barras was a go and might be part of this deal. I'm leaning towards thinking they want Barras off their books in order to accommodate another player $$

And yes, I've been sitting on this for a bit:tongueoutv1: and yes I know who that player is and no I won't say.

They're heaving into English and Naughton

Not sure if west coast would agree but I’d be trying to trade next years first over this years. It’s likely the lowest we finish for a while if we return to being a consistent top 8 team. Bringing in some good young talent is going to be important based on how poor last years draft haul is looking.

Even if we have to throw in our 2nd + next years first since we have Cleary coming in around that point in the draft anyway. This is a strong draft and using a top 10 pick would be nice to get a curtin/o Sullivan/duursma etc.

Elsewhere on bigfooty (so always take with a grain of salt)

HH still a very strong chance to join the Swans. Down to Giants & Swans but we're offering better money

Thomas is a good chance to leave North. Some in the club don't want him with Swans and Suns the keenest to get him should be become available
After they action taken against Taylor by Swans to recruit Thomas might seem hypocritical to some.

Recruiting T.Thomas would make the Qatar sponsorship seem completely hypocrisy-free by comparison.

Just from Edmund, "WCE will not draft any member of the Warner family if Barrass is traded to the Swans".

What's the context of this? To me that just seems silly and from what I've heard, the next Warner looks to be the best of the lot.

But is it a sydney player?

If Logan is going to be the Messiah as some think on here Naughton not required.
Naughton and Logan should be our FF & CHF for the next 10 years. Build the rest of the forward line around them.

They would be very smart to trade Pick 1 for two top 5 picks. Naughton and English would be great targets. If they could get another high pick from us (say Gold Coast's) that could facilitate that sort of move.
