• Rookie Promotions: Tuesday, November 21, after the National Draft
• Delisted Free Agency Period (3): Tuesday, November 21, after the National Draft
• List Lodgement 3*: Wednesday, November 22, 10am (optional; required for those participating in the PSD)
• Pre-Season Draft: Wednesday, November 22, 3pm
• Rookie Draft: Wednesday, November 22, 3.20pm
• Final List Lodgement*: Thursday, November 23, 4pm

* List lodgement dates are yet to be made public, so are approximate based on past history and the requirements of the AFL Rules. When lists are lodged, the number of players on the list must not exceed maximum list sizes. At the same time, clubs must provide the AFL with estimates of total player payments in the current and following year, which must prove the club is not and will not exceed the salary cap. (AFL Rules 5.3, 6.1, 6.8, 7.2, 7.9)

Could maybe. But would he? Back to the old chestnut, who does he replace? It took Dawson a number of years to break into the top level. Don't see Ari being that much different.

If Ari can be 60% as good as Dawson (and not do a runner), he would be a bloody great pick up

I really don't get too caught up in it , as it's a lottery after 5 or 6 can go anywhere . I know people are so caught up in it , but i trust our clubs judgement on things like this , not always right , but which clubs are . I just don't understand how some get so caught up in it . My joy is on the night .

From a list perspective
-we are short on medium defenders (though McInerney, Campbell and Mills can fill the role at a pinch.)
-we are short on medium forwards. Parker and Adams could rest there. Sheldrick too.
Leake can fill both roles potentially.

Though I can see the need for KP.
Ruck. Ladhams will need a big preseason and headspace clearout and refocus. Falling behind IMO. We could go Green.
KPD. We have Hamling, Francis, Edwards, Arnold, Melican. Only Hamling is contracted to 2025. That says we are not confident in what we have got. A class KPD draftee would not help us in our potential flag push in the next 2 years but maybe after that.There are a few KPDs in our range.
KPF. Amartey is injury prone and Buller is untried to be fair. Could we draft another Reid?

I see that most mock drafts have North taking McKercher with one of their early picks. I'd be surprised if they did.
I know that it is said that you should take the best available talent in the draft, especially with your first pick but I think this is one time where that may not apply.
Nort have multiple areas of their make up that need addressing. Too many in fact to mention here but probably the one and only area where they are reasonably ok is their midfield.
LDU, Simpkin, Scott, Thomas, Wardlaw, Phillips and Sheezel represent a handy midfield rotation. If I were them, I'd be looking at taking both Duursma and Curtin. These two fill their needs far more than another mid.
Will be interesting to see what they do.

McKercher is a stone cold moral to go to North. He’ll go at pick 2 (which will be pick 3). He’ll start on the wing but he’ll eventually be the class and you need those. The second pick is harder wouldn’t be shocked if they take a small forward here and look to a tall or two in their teens picks.

I personally think if Leake and O'Sullivan are off the board we'll have the North picks via a split. That's if their teen picks don't end up in the Eagles hands first
