I'm sure the NFL checks the gossip of this forum so how about you flogs in the office get active and sort out finals venue. If Victoria Park and Princes Park are available, go get them and piss Preston off. If there not available get anywhere else except Preston.
Agree. The wind ruined the Res/Senior Grannys this year. Not to mention the lack of parking etc.

There isn't any parking at Victoria Park let alone a fence so the NFL cant charge the punters $$$

The train station is extremely close and on both train lines. I'm not so sure Car Parking will be an issue or that would rule out Preston. They can set up temp fencing if they are so focused on profiting off the hard work of volunteers.

Every year. I went to the Junior grand finals at diamond creek and they set up temp fencing no worries. They could easily hold the Div 1 finals at Diamond creek. Preston is the worst venue.

Diamond Creek not good enough for Div 1 Finals, you need somewhere like Vic Park or Princess Park, OK for Juniors.

Heard a dashing backman from Eltham has left to try his hand as a punter in Florida for their Uni.

Big loss, staple in the side last few years.

Don't be surprised if it doesn't work out, P.Bower did the same thing this time last year and was back in time for the start of the season.

Are they playing all year or only after June 30 and/or only when their other commitments don't get in the way?
They will be close to the limit on points. 4 of them are 6 pointers. Doesn't leave much room for the other 18, unless they are going to play short.

Totally agree. Its probably worse than that. The other one would probably be a 5 pointer. 29 points for 5 player. That leaves 16 points for the other 17 players because the article in the northern leader on October 16th said the League has dropped the points to 45 starting this year and the salary cap to $225,000. If they all play on the same day they will probably have to only field about 16 players.

Looks like they'll have a fair 2's side then.

Obviously wont be playing them all at the same time. They can manage the points if they have 3 or 4 playing on a weekly basis.
The major concern is the salary cap. Prime candidate for an audit and hopefully AFL Vic will do their due diligence on this particular club
