Yes, he'd be the logical one, wish they'd take a punt on a youngster though.

And either of the Marsh brothers, they have both been given skipper duties at different times. I know Mitch skippered the Scorchers in the Champion's League.

I assume the logic is that they don't want to give it to someone who's going to be in and out of the side - could apply to both Marshes.

Rutherford put his case to join the tour from the start. The Victorian secretary of the Australian Board of Control told Rutherford there were 40 openers in Victoria who were better than him and that "nothing you say is worth anything until you've been in the side, god help us, for five years, and until then you eat the crumbs that fall from the master's table".

Good to see, if he stopped getting out in the 20's and 30's so often, he'll be a good opening bat for us and potentially Aus if everything goes well.
