Just heard on Sen that Brad Scott has fired Anthony Rock, Danny Daly and Darren Bewick. There was another one, think it was our player development guy.

The North Melbourne Football Club wishes to advise a number of staff have been released from their duties, effective immediately.

As a result of an extensive Football Department review, Assistant Coaches Daniel Daly, Darren Bewick, Anthony Rock and Development Coach Dave Newett will not be at the club for the 2010 season.

The club acknowledges the significant contribution each of the individuals have made during their time at Arden Street and wishes them all the best in the future.

The AFL Coaches Association has been informed and will work with Daly, Bewick, Rock and Newett to assist with their transition to another club or other form of employment outside of football.

• NORTH Melbourne has started its offseason shake up under new coach Brad Scott, showing four assistant coaches the door.

The club released a statement this afternoon saying "as a result of an extensive review, assistant coaches Daniel Daly, Darren Bewick, Anthony Rock and development coach Dave Newett will not be at the club for the 2010 season".

Of the current coaching panel, that just leave caretaker coach Darren Crocker and assistant John Lamont.
New senior coach Scott is due to start at Arden St tomorrow.

Happy Bewick has been moved on, its been 5 years, time for some fresh faces.

Daly would get a gig somewhere else, probably Port.

Nobody would be allowed to fart in the footy department without reference to Scott at the moment. He would (and should) have 100% rights on all footy decisions at the moment. Crocks got his nod to stay - the others didn't.

I'm excited at the changes and wish the departing foursome well.

Yep, that was classic TOD, but I think it is overshadowed by the recent post suggesting an actual rock could coach better than its namesake.
