I would like to see Babel start ahead of Maxi.

Babel seems to have turned a corner in recent games and Maxi has been abysmal.

Won't happen though.:thumbsd:

Apparently Babel was decent against Unirea, so I wouldn't mind seeing him start, but I don't think so.

Riera was LOLbad too apparently, so cant see him starting.

It'll be another dire and boring game and we'll be aiming for a 1-0, which don't get me wrong, I would take right now, but I just hope we actually play some decent stuff.

Playing some "decent stuff" would obviously be nice but I'd take playing like absolute rubbish for the rest of the season if it meant we finished 4th. It's just too important.

I just want to see some form of fluid attacking football. We'll win more games that way.

I think we would win more games as well, but would we get more points?

Open attacking football results in a less draws, but not necessarily wins.

We'd have a shitload more points if we actually tried to play football. It's pretty clear.

zonal marking.

seeing the breakdown of some of the goals teams have scored against your lot, I think I could defend better than some of them. :p

RAWK?

lol....that site is gold for having a laugh.

Nearly as lolworthy as redcafe. Nearly. ;)

I can't stand RAWK, it's just sickeningly positive. You can't say anything remotely negative there.

Benitez is the modern day Shankly, and Lucas is the new Zidane - and if you think any different you're banned.

Hah...I'm over there. Is that why you said it? ;)

Nah, I just knew you were a United fan - and redcafe and RAWK are each others equivelants in terms of terrible forums. ;)

Nando and Benny on the bench.

Reina
Carra Skrtel Agger Insua
Lucas Mascherano
Kuyt Gerrard Maxi
Babel.

D-Cav, Kelly, Aurelio, Aquilani, Riera, Bennynoon, Torres

Re: The BigFooty Liverpool Army - Part 10

Babel up on his own or Babel on the right/left with Maxi on the other flank and Dirk up top on his own?

Re: The BigFooty Liverpool Army - Part 10

For the first time in a long time I like the look of our bench.

Re: The BigFooty Liverpool Army - Part 10

The way the team is named on the offal, it seems as though it's Babel up top, yes.

I assume we'll see Babel/Kuyt/Maxi rotate wings - with Babel/Kuyt both spending time up front as the lone striker.

I really didn't want to see Maxi starting. Its about time he does something of relevance.

Babel has been gifted a golden chance to impress. Needs to take it.

There's also no Ngog at all; which means if we're struggling Torres will definitely get a run out at some point (or if we're coasting with a 4-0 lead) for the last 10 minutes.

N'gog limped off in the last few minutes of Thursday's snorefest. Could be a blessing in disguise as it gives him a badly needed breather and as you say, increases the likelihood of El Nino getting some gametime.

Riera and Aquilani deservedly banished to the bench. Maxi has to take his chance against a team that are not known for physicality.

What a chance for Babel.

But everytime he's played well as a sub in the previous game, then got a start - he's been putrid.

No reason to expect anything different I spose, but here's hoping!

Nil-all at H-T.

We had the first 20 mins, City the rest of the half, though Skrtel had a great chance with the header.

Some of our passing has been shocking. Just too casual. Lucas the worst, Agger not far behind. I thought this guy was supposed to be a good distributor?

Just get Rodrigues off. Virtually invisible. He shits me already.

Hopefully Torres/Benayoun will come on and nick us the 3 points.

Mascherano (can see him getting sent off), Skrtel and Gerrard have been passable.

Everyone else has sucked.

Lucas has been/is a disgrace. Just abysmal. Absolutely abysmal.
