I'd be amazed if anyone got more than 2 or 3 out of 8 right.

5 years is a long, long, long time. Check out the sydney ones... 1 year ago you had no Mumford, mcglynn, jetta or kennedy, and hanneberry wasn't in the side.
Multiply that by 5, especially if there's a change of coach (coming up for the swans) or a really bad year.

i think with hawthorn, having hodge, mitchell, sewell, etc in their midfield currently, we haven't targetted young midfield types in the last few drafts.

i think the above shows that, in the next year or two, that's the type of player we'll be needing to recruit to have them ready when hodge, mitchell, sewell, etc retire.

I seriously, seriously doubt guys like McGlynn or Kennedy or Hocking for us will be running through the middle 5 years from now. All borderline talents as it is. Realism, people.
You can predict the career of very, very, very few players.

You can't possibly predict who will be around in 5 years time but Pendlebury, Thomas, Sidebottom, Wellingham and Beams will all be core players in our midfield. Swans will probably still be around but might be playing a role in forward or back half. With ruck I am hoping Wood can repay the faith that many Collingwood supporters have in him.

Ablett, if he is still around, will hopefully be tearing up the forward line, and for the sake of the exercise let's exclude Bartel, Kelly, ling, Corey etc. As they will have retired or at least be on their last legs.

In reality, we don't have the young players coming through. At least we rarely get to have a look at young guns, given the nature of our team.

Far to hard to forecast a five year rotation as my guess is that half the players in it haven't been drafted yet.
