That a blind man can tell from the front which jumper is which.
Nobody's arguing about the front.

Nope, always black and white stripes.

You look at that v yours and honestly say which club has the greater tradition. Our jumper is consistent throughout our history, you are all over the place.
Was never a clash with St.Kilda until Collingwood decided to reverse their primary jumper from black stripes on a white jumper in 2001.

Why did Collingwood change their jumper in 2001? Serious question, I'd like to know.
if you finished first you should get your home strip. You didn't. Too bad, too sad
I'm still baffled by this too. What did Eddie find so wrong with this? If they were still wearing this version there would be no need for the Saints to wear a clash guernsey.
Its irrelevant why they changed their HOME jumper, the fact is that they did.
Even when Collingwood changed there was still no clash with St Kilda untill about 2 years later they changed their home jumper yet againWas never a clash with St.Kilda until Collingwood decided to reverse their primary jumper from black stripes on a white jumper in 2001. Of course it would be wrong to expect St.Kilda and every other team in the AFL to not take into serious consideration the incredible nine years of Collingwood tradition in their current jumper.
Its irrelevant why they changed their HOME jumper, the fact is that they did.
The first time a clash jumper is used in a Grand Final. At least it's not one of the bad ones ala Adelaide or Hawthorn.
no one should wear a clash jumper for a grand final. this is just ridiculas. typical of the afl
Or is the rule, Collingwood wears what they want and the others have to work around it?
I seriously don't give a shit who wears what this weekend, I'd just like to know why a club that guards their tradition so sacredly completely changed their only ever jumper in 2001.
Can anyone answer this? Did the club give the members no explanation at all?
Except that neither team should require a clash jumper.
That a blind man can tell from the front which jumper is which.
Change the socks to Tri-Colour as well as you're done.
Only reason they're whinging is for when the ball is on the deck the players wouldnt know who is who... But once again the socks would change that fact.

You pretty much nailed it. Such is life at the top
No idea, and I wouldn't actually mind knowing myself.
I think you're drawing a long bow saying it was 'completely' changed though.

West Coast wore theirs in the 2005 and 2006 Grand Finals
Do you think we may be able to have the 1966 Grand Final re-mastered by the AFL. Did they not know about clash strips in 1966.
I have watched it about 50 times on Footy Marathon and have no idea what is going - did St. Kilda win ?
Clash strips are the biggest scam the AFL have inflicted on the footy public !!!
Actually it's our 'Away' jumper as opposed to a 'clash' jumper.
However, as we've worn our Royal Blue 'Wings' jumper in all 5 Grandfinals, I'd be pretty annoyed if we ever wear our current Home jumper (or any other version) in a GrandFinal. Eagles should always wear the Royal Blue in grannies.
Unless we ever played a GF against the Bulldogs - obvious clash, so only then shoud the Eagles wear a different guernsey. So hopefully we never play the Doggies in a GF.

Again - Collingwood wore a WHITE jumper in 1966!!!
Not really. It's the difference between predominantly black and predominantly white. Fairly significant.
Amazed that no one has any reason as to why.
