HT @ Labrador. Us 17 them 51. Blustery wind across ground and partially sloppy conditions not helping. No SOKS. McKeever probably best; Harwood flying the flag; Hawk giving some run off halfback but not passing well. Karnezis playing forward and Collier playing back. Retzy both goals. Broc copped a roasting at QT.

Ended up us 58 them 77. Running all over them at the end, but was too little too late. Retzy starred in the second half and actually clunked a few grabs for the first time this year. Broc copped another caning at 3qt. Don Barry gave us a spark around the packs.

In other news, we may have seen the curtain come down on Possum's career today. Looks like he might have popped an ACL.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :(

You are a legend Possum. Tim Notting legacy lives on forever:heart:

Broc well and truly in the dog house. Maybe Nathan Clarke was the one who convinced Voss he was ready for the seniors.

Do the reserves play this week?

If so, would we expect any of the 22 who played against Melbourne and also be expected to play against the Saints Thursday week have a run, even if for only a half. I am thinking guys like Cornelius and Polec?

Can anyone shed some light on how Patty Karnezis is travelling in the Ressies? Haven't heard a lot about him.

Pat's going OK.

He set the side alight in the first game at Morningside when he was switched to the half back line. Outstanding run and carry. A similar occurrence happened in a scratch game about a month back.

Last week he played forward for the full game (possibly at the request of Quigley ;)) and worked his way into the game in the second half (once the Lions started to win some footy in the midfield, coincidentally). Marked strongly.

Can someone tell me where Don Barry is on the lions books.. is he a rookie? Im looking forward to see how he develops (hopefully) in the next few years . Great photos mr ripper.
cheers

Next week's match against Southport has been shifted from Chelmer to Coorparoo. Just in case anyone's making any plans. :)

Thanks Mr R - I needed the help!

Reserves Wrap

3:00 PM Tue 19 Apr, 2011

Among the possible inclusions for the Lions Reserves this Saturday are Josh Drummond and Xavier Clarke who are close to completing their rehabilitation and set to gain valuable match practice.

“Drummond is likely to play this week against Southport,” Clarke said.

“X (Xavier Clarke) is probably a 50/50 proposition at the moment. If he doesn’t get up for this week, he’ll definitely play next week.”

In the wrap they mentioned former Grogan Medalists Matt Payne and Danny Wise. Have these guys had runs with AFL clubs before? is there a possibility of them getting drafted in the foreseeable future?

I would love to unearth a Cornow or Barlow from under our noses.

Xavier Clarke he will go down again waste of time and space under the cap.
