Dempsey out, Howlett in.
Komer out (rest), Davey in.

Give Crameri another week to regain his touch in the VFL, give Hurls an extra weeks to be fit and challenge the current team group to bounce back against West Coast. See which under performing players response against West Coast.

I would also move Jetta to half back and give him the challenge to shut down one of the West Coast half forwards.

Was Jetta used down back in a pre season game once?

Not sure but we may as well give him a new role over the next 4 weeks and see how he does. Maybe by following around an opposition half forward he will learn how hard he has to work to do well in that position.

Hirdy needs to wield the axe at selection on Thursday, it's simply not good enough to persist with blokes who are not prepared to have a red hot crack and compete.

Jetta Kommer colyer dell gumby if picked Should consider it a gift.

Hopefully we turn up to play this week!

Gumby shouldn't be dropped. Our mids and half forwards didn't work hard enough.

Kommer is not prepared to have a red hot crack? the dude has run out of legs, his early form is pretty clear the type of player he is.

This may have been addressed elsewhere but what is the nature of Hurley's injury? Did it occur against Hawthorn and if not, when?

As far as I'm concerned if he is fit he plays. His form improved as he managed to string a few games together and it would be a shame to not capitalise on that by allowing him to miss a series of games late in the season.

The same thing with Crameri. If we are interested in having any sort of presence in the finals we cannot afford to playing sub-par lineups in the run to the finals.

With the exception of those injured we should select the best possible team that we can that should approximate the team we would go with if the finals were played this weekend. Experiments with the likes of Dell-Olio, Jetta and even Gumby should probably be over.

Need to keep in mind matchups:

J.Kennedy - Carlisle clearly best matchup
Resting ruckman - Hooker
J.Darling - now this the interesting one. I think Pears is a better matchup than Fletcher so believe Dustin should be "rested" this week.

Out: Fletcher, Jetta, Dell'Olio, Dempsey

In: Pears, Crameri, Howlett, Winderlich (if not fit then Browne)

Crameri was average in VFL but we need a spark in the forward line and he could do it

I love our supporters loyalty.

last week was tough but the fans turned up to see the club they love train at Windy Hill on Saturday morning and show their support for Hirdy and the team.
A lot of us would have been disgusted and walked out in the last quarter of the Collingwood game but have moved on now it is mid week and we are pumped ready for West Coast.
A fans/members will turn up Sunday in their droves waving the red & black scarf.

Go bombers!

Out: Hardingham, Kommer, Del, Dempsey
In: Pears, Winderlich, Davey, and can't decide between Crameri/Browne, despite their obvious differences. The whole like for like thing just hasn't seemed to have been that much of a consideration for TRB this year, who knows what they'll do.

Definitely missing contested ball winning ability, so Howlett could probably come in. **** me though, I dunno how we reshuffle the side. Davey needs to come back in to apply pressure, and I'm sick of carrying Kommer's 8 possession, 1 tackle games. I'd almost drop 2 smalls for Davey and Howlett, and I just can't fathom how we can effectively drop Pears for Hardingham. Pears should leave us at the end of the year and it's completely TRBs fault if he does.

Winderlich could replace Dempsey's speed off HB, or add pressure in our forward line which is something we really need. Desperately need him back.

Basically it all comes down to getting rid of a VFL level, sub standard bunch of bottom 5 players and fitting in Winderlich, Davey, Howlett, Pears, Crameri, and perhaps Browne.

I wouldn't be so sure to be honest. It's not like the cattle between round 5 (Anzac Day) and the round 19 game on the weekend was completely different (anyone care to double check?, I can't be bothered).

Endeavour, a better side, game plan, off field distractions all factors in the loss.

If we can come out with some attitude and arrogance (we play better when we want to win - who doesn't) I would expect a win.

I'd like to see Stanton replace Dempsey on the HBF, I think he could give us the run needed off the HBF to fill the void of Dempsey.
I wouldn't do that. Stanton isn't an explosive linebreaker like Dempsey or Hibberd, nor does he possess the pace to slice up a zone like Demps' does best.
As I mentioned this earlier in the thread, Alex Browne has now played a couple of games in a row on the return from injury. Seems to be moving freely and working hard to get his hands on the footy (23 versus Sandringham, 30 versus Bendigo & 9 in limited playing time versus Casey) so the intent is there. Moving with freedom, he hasn't really 'dominated' any games, more a few moments of brilliance here, a special moment there but the talent is shown for all to see.
People often say he has only played x amount of games or he is in his 3rd year on the list but he has ALL the attributes to become a very good player. A combination of speed, skill, aggression, a touch of class and as mentioned a real line breaker as well.
