You better get on to his Manager to add that one to his list. :D

McConville said Hunt, a third-round selection in the 2008 draft, had plenty to offer the Cats, or any team.
"He can play the dual role as a small defender, running half-back or run-with midfielder. He has got that ability to play those roles, as well as the wing, so he can play a variety of roles," he said.
How's Hunt's injury travelling? Might need him in this week to help neutralize Sandilands. He's versatility could allow him to play backup ruck :drunk:

Maybe I'm missing something with Hunt, but over his 63 game career he has kicked 19 goals at an average of 0.3 - doesn't exactly read as the form of someone you want playing as a small forward as has been suggested at different times.

cos defenders usually kick a goal a game...

he has speed, good tackler and hard at the contest

his agility isn't the best but he is pretty good around goals, certainly no worse than burbs or mccarthy

Was watching "on the Couch" and they showed a list of the leaving/ trade bait players and there where a couple i wouldn't mind having a look at if the price was right.

Watts, Grimes, and Trengrove all showed up and i think we could certainly get more out of them then the Dee's.

Any thoughts on possible acquisition of Melbourne players?

P.S sorry if this has been asked previously, didn't really read through the entire thread being 69 pages :)

But to answer your question I saw that too and think two major problems. The Dees would probably want picks in the 30s which we can do much better with than get a recycled Dees player, and just how mentally scared are they? Rivers has shown it's not a total disaster, however.

did say if the price was right, something around 38-50 for one of those guys wouldn't be overly expensive any higher and no go i say.

I would guess the asking price depends on the market, but i wouldn't recommend a club without a strong culture taking on any of these guys.

Thinking Geelong, Hawthorn, Sydney, Collingwood type as opposed to Richmond, North, Carlton type teams.

I would consider Trengove, Grimes is too old, and Watts too flakey.

You're right didn't realize Grimes was 26 next year, but with Watts i just think we could get him on track without the mental pressure of being the number 1 pick he would just be another player in our team would get far less attention and could settle down.

Watts seems to have a touch of the Browns about him. Don't want.

Price is right i would take Watts. He has had to much pressure put on him by a crap team. Get him in a winning team and think he really would flourish.

If he'd had opportunity to play forward we might know something other than the odd times he's had his chances and slotted a couple.
Always been stereotyped as a small defender/tagger so we'll never know, give him a chance somewhere else to be fair.
Thought he could be that small option, strong hands, tough with pace, Ballantyne?

My recollection is that most of his goals have been slotted as a running winger/half-back, or running off his lazy taggee, rather than as a forward.

Id rather get Toumpas from them for cheap. WAY more upside for the price.

Go Catters

Yeah, he could be good in the right (Cats) environment. Seems to be on the outer. Straight for THunt? :D

I think that would be reasonable. Maybe a 3rd pick too. Not saying id like Poodle out but - Poodle is in that age range of players and games experience that would suit Melbourne. He plays hard and would be good for them.

Toumpas has a growing list of kids in front of him and has been hurt. He can't even get on the park for Casey ATM.

Was a #4 overall and can play.

Could do worse..

Of course, the D's would want a 1st Round pick for him siting that on 2011 he was a #4 overall therefore must still be worth that - of course he has dons SFA since be drafted but whatever…

Melbourne will be in the hunt for experienced players at years end. They will have a mini clean out.

Hunt, Stringer, Sheringham could be worth something to them.

Even Brown, Walker.

I really don't want to see Brown go but can't see how he'd want to stay with Kersten, Vardy and (fingers crossed) Menzel next year up forward and Kolo, Hamling and possibly Frawley to compete with down back. He'll play 100+ games elsewhere IMO.

Not this again, I hope your not being serious.

There are 5 if, buts, and maybe's there, after the first two, hope you noticed that! Don't want us leave ourselves to thin on talls, but what else is new?
One decent sized forward isn't enough, wish we'd drafted Josh Jenkins when he was available, someone to help Hawkins, someone!

Yeah, I know! I don't think it's going to be the clubs call is all i'm saying, I reckon we'd like to keep him but I pretty sure he'll want out given his lack of opportunity here. I know I would...

In other words, he's jacked off and would want out! I don't blame him either, it's the club or Wells, they just have no clues drafting and developing talls, especially tall forwards.
We'll probably have to pay overs for a ready made but I don't think they want that, or aren't prepared to pay the truck load to get it done.
Sam Ried or Ben Griffiths Richmond might be worth a look the Swan would be more expensive I'd say, and their are other options.
