If you chose to sit out we sue your ass". I'm not sure how likely or possible the last part would be but stuff him, we nees to be ruthless - they aren't doing us any favours.

That's fine and I can understand that. But the club has come out and said they would accommodate his wishes for more time if a fair a reasonable compensation can't be achieved with Brisbane. If that was his main intention he would not have excluded GC from discussions -the fact that he has tells us he disn't give a shit about our club and that it's his way or the highway. We should reciprocate.

If and it is now expected Beams leaves it will leave Pies with a huge war chest to chase Dangerfield after 2015 AFL season.

If we don't bring in Varcoe my rough estimate of departures - arrivals could be as much $750-$800k left over which we are allowed to bank under the new salary cap rules.

Even if we bring in Varcoe that spare cap space might be around $500k just for 2015.

That would at least make losing Beams slightly least bitter....

I just read the article. Crisp has visited the Westpac centre over the weekend and a deal is imminent.
It looks like 5, 25, and Crisp is going to happen.

The rebuild has officially commenced.
