He'll be banned for drug* use alongside 33 of his mates.Fletcher is set to play his 400th against North in Rnd 7.
If he plays every game.
What if we rest him @ GABBA and then falls short of the games record by 1 game?
Nah they have a trip to Perth before that, so it will probably the week after or so.Fletcher is set to play his 400th against North in Rnd 7.

It was hard to guess Brent Harvey was in his 20th AFL season in 2014, such was his level of performance.
It’s been 5,493 days since Brent Harvey ran around in North Melbourne’s fourth premiership, and there arguably hasn’t been a more exciting time at the club since.
North Melbourne veteran Brent Harvey hopes he will be greeted by high-fives instead of the usual boos when he runs out onto Patersons Stadium next month.
Interesting, do you think he'd be more valuable spending more time close to goal or playing a similar position to what he did this season?50+ goals a year if he played closer to goal and that's why we could easily get another 3 from him. A joy to watch and he's been phenomenal for so long now. Shove it haters
Apologies if the pictures aren't appearing on your computer devices, think it is on BigFooty's end and will be rectified soon.
Interesting one.Dal could play his 300th against *. I'm guessing Harvey is rested to play in Melbourne.
How about another 4 after this season sitting in the forward pocket; 500 games.50+ goals a year if he played closer to goal and that's why we could easily get another 3 from him. A joy to watch and he's been phenomenal for so long now. Shove it haters
Yeah for sure play in Melbourne depending if we win enough games by then.. If the game is a must win and we havent got the wins on the board different storyDal could play his 300th against *. I'm guessing Harvey is rested to play in Melbourne.
Interesting conundrum. Do we rob the middle of the ground of run but add a few more goals? It really depends on whether Wells stays fit, Atley can move into the midfield and we can switch Boomer with someone who can play a similar role. I don't think Boomer camped inside 50 is the answer. But a little more time there and he'd kick 30-40 easily.Interesting, do you think he'd be more valuable spending more time close to goal or playing a similar position to what he did this season?
Definitely not. He can keep on doing what his doing. Once he starts unwinding and we can get away with using him deeper than I would move him closer to goal.Interesting, do you think he'd be more valuable spending more time close to goal or playing a similar position to what he did this season?
He's already said in his re-signing press conference this year that he hopes his signing another deal at the end of next season. He's an incredibly notivated man and he says his body and mind are feeling great. For a 36 year old to pretty much do every pre-season session and every training session and outperform guys 10-15 years younger than him is remarkable, let alone outperforming opposition players that much younger than him on gameday. I think the only way he'll retire at the end of next season is if we win a flag or he has a serious leg-related injury, otherwise I can see him at least 1 more maybe even 2.Definitely not. He can keep on doing what his doing. Once he starts unwinding and we can get away with using him deeper than I would move him closer to goal.
Realistically I'd say
- 1 and 1/2 season as normal
- 3 seasons as a forward pocket
- 1/2 as a sub.
I honestly don't see why he can't keep going. I know some have said 2 more seasons but I don't see why. It's all down to Boomer and his motivation I suppose. No point limiting his career due to age. He clearly doesn't follow the rule of aging
excuse my ignorance, but how did boomer get named to our team of the century? I wasnt old enough to see him play back then but were his first 5 years THAT good?
