Oh how I wish I could watch election coverage with Bolt tonight.

It would be something like this

Even if they don't win the other 2 the margins will be razor thin next time around

Perhaps, I think when both Labor and Libs have horrendous leadership they benefit greatly from that. Will have to see the fall-out from this election.

"They said a first term government will be re-elected"

Remember those words mate. Please do a good job. The job the people want, need and deserve

Voted in the Richmond electorate..

neck and neck at the moment according to the abc site... 50.2% Labour 49.8% Greens after preferences

Yeah, it will be close.

I can't believe Andrews just announced a $275 "Lend Lease levy"!!!

Every one of Victoria ~4 million tax payers will have to pay $275 to Lend Lease to NOT build East West link.

That goes along with the $140 levy we've paid for the operators of the desalination plant to NOT produce water.

Gotta love Victorian Labor.

Just wait for the 15 billion dollars east west link which only 20% of eastern freeway users will use

Nd if its like citilink it wont work until. Future govt spends even more billions fixing up the problems like with citylink- westgate

I hope all the people bitching about East-West never planned on using it, if the Coalition were returned. Otherwise that would make them hypocrites.

Nothing.

Did nothing.

Just like Ted.

Nothing.

They do nothing, you complain.

A pollie actually does things, everyone criticises it, and they complain anyway.

Denis Napthine did something, he actually tried to change things. He actually ran for government, and put his reputation on the line in a fruitless exercise of changing things. Which is more than most armchair critics and whingers do.

I would have used it to get out to Waverly to watch the AFL games....wait a minute....nope will never use.

It wouldn't matter anyway, because the AFL scrapped Waverley years ago. You can't really blame Napthine for that.

Your avatar is very appropriate, and shows how much credibility your answer has.
I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not... But when it comes to politics a lot of people hate whoever is in government. At least from the people I live near.

Here's a good question; why would a government sign a contract with that large an exit fee? It doesn't represent coverage of reasonable costs.

What did he do?

They sat by and watched Ford, Toyota and Holden **** off.

They sat by and let the Ambos wait for nothing.

They sat by and built jails to house prisoners but took money out of educational facilities that would stop the generational poverty that leads them to crime.

They rushed to sign the East West to make it a political tool.

They promised a Airport Link....promised.

...I mean seriously, what did they do for 4 years....and the voters have voted.

Yeah, what has he actually done wrong?

He's just a terrible leader. Boring, uninspiring, doesn't stand for anything, sounds like he doesn't even believe what he's saying.

In all organisations incl (or especially) political parties, you have people who play their roles. I've no doubt Napthine is a good politician, he's been around so long, but he's a shocking choice as leader. Leaders have to inspire people to follow them.

You see it a lot in business too... People who may be good operators and indeed good people, and they get put in a leadership role because of this, and they're terrible. It affects the whole team.

I'll add another issue to slax's list.

Paramedics.

Living here, there can be no doubt that the pay campaign by the Paramedics and the Ambulance Union has been demonstrably effective. There isn't an ambulance in Victoria that doesn't mention it. All communities would be aware of the issue.

I heard that the Ambulance Union deliberately rejected any offer Napthine made, so that the dispute can carry on the State Election, they would back Labor, and then get Labor to roll over and give them even more money while they line their pockets. All the while, putting lives at risk.

I have lost a lot of respect for ambos over this. I thought you did the job to help save lives, but it smacks that some are in it to be greedy and make money off dying patients.
