If he's committed to waiting till the seasons over and doesn't want to say anything to the media then of course he'd sound awkward when out on the spot like that question would have.

Just like everything else media driven this year it can be interpreted however anyone wants to interpret it.

Question remains, had he said he is moving back to Moggs and wants to play for the Cats 6 months earlier could we have played him in our team?

We showed Bock the door and many other Clubs have done similarly to other players that have acknowledged publicly that they are leaving.

Of course you play him. Can't cut off your nose to spite your face. Look how well he's played! He's a very real reason we are in this position. Without him, where would we have finished? Free agency is here to stay. Clubs and supporters have to get used to it.

But seriously "surely you cant leave this club".... why would you though why now, right when the group is starting to lift into top gear. It's a stupid decision to leave now at the very least give it 2 more years.
Im still in the staying camp however if he goes i dont want so crap love letter to club, teamates and fans, he'll be breaking so many hearts by friend zoning us.

Honestly, I think the decision has already been made and was made ages ago that this was going to be his final contract at Adelaide. I wouldn't also be surprised if it's external pressures that are pushing him back to Vic and deep down he would prefer to stay.

To me he's playing like a guy who's in his last season at the club and is trying to make sure that he enjoys every moment of what he has left and wants to walk away knowing within himself that he's given 110% to the Crows.

I just hope that he doesn't think that he's going to ride off in the sunset at the end of the season as a hero because he's going to be in for a massive reality check.

No not under any circumstances could we play anyone who was looking beyond our club for greener pastures.
How do you explain to players why they have been left out to accomodate these turncoats. Goes against everything the club has achieved this year. "We fly as one"........would lose its significance.

You tell them we're picking our best 22,which still includes Dangerfield. You don't gift a game to a player just because he's signed a contract. Unless it's Mackay, I guess :P

Depends on how you define best 22.
My definition would be 22 players committed to the AFC. How could we know he would put 100% effort in games involving his future club? Remember Kurt against Sydney in that first final in 2012? His poor performance in that final cost us dearly. Had we known of his intentions to sign with the Swans he would not have been selected.

That's ok, they can keep talking hawthorn up and us down. All good.
Smash and grab

While sometimes it nice to get the respect but sometimes its even sweeter to come from nowhere and shove it up the doubters arse. We are lucky to have no pressure on us this weekend and no one expects anything from us from now on.

Exactly it's ridiculous to suggest we play Danger. Once he acknowledges he doesn't want to be here than you don't let him be a part of the AFC anymore. You don't sell out the AFC.

You need to grow up. I don't mean that nastily, but in terms of accepting Free Agency. Rugby League fans have had to live with their players announcing they are moving on mid-season for years. Do they sit them out? No. You don't sit your best player out because he will be somewhere else next year, that is just ludicrous.

Of course we play them. If we don't play them, the next one who wants to leave won't say anything so they get a game. I'd rather know someone is leaving so we can prepare for it.

Just like in 2012 when no one gave us a chance yet we were in front with 2 minutes to go in that game and had the game snatched from us by some individual Hawks magic.

No it doesn't. If can only be able ho they are playing right now, today. Danger has shown how a professional should go about it

When you consider free agents or restricted free agents will generally always be required players, you'd be stupid to act like the petulant rejected lover. You are better off just using them for your own selfish needs (to win games) and then then tell them you hope the door doesn't hit them in the arse on the way out.
