Any truth in the rumour we are looking at Andrew Moore from port power?. Starved of opportunities considering going home to victoria. Thoughts people??.
I remember we were pretty keen on him in his draft year.

God knows. Didn't the hawks lose Young and Ellis and get nothing?

I'd like to think they'd take some form of pity on us
Pretty sure Young was because the pay was too low, Ellis because same year as Buddy (or vice-versa).

Hope not. Spud.

Wagner was very powerful and smart around the stoppages, kicking also pinpoint.

Hibberd's marking was a real surprise, kicking was very good as per usual.

Himmelberg played an excellent game, setting up multiple goals whilst kicking a couple himself.

Rioli played a very nice game, showed some really good pressure skills late to his earlier class with ball in hand.

Kennedy looked underdone but was still dominant around stoppages and in the air.

Hagan had some dashing runs out of defence, just needs to learn how to defend.

Lovell was very disappointing, lacked intensity and was only really noticeable late when he picked up a few junk time touches.

Ainsworth, P-S, Gallucci and Simpkin are some of the talents to look out for next year.

disappointing, would have loved Francis. Obviously trust the list management staff though.

Parish isn't a dead certainty to be avaiilable to us though you wouldn't think, Gold Coast could possibly be on the lookout for more outside pace and class after they lose Bennell.

I guess it depends on which picks we end up with, and which style will complement Daniher.
Collins is a KPD, but yeah, agree. If it ends up at WB, Collins would be the one.

Reckon the Bulldogs will hope that Collins is around pick 11. He looks an excellent defender.

Yeah, but if they get Carlisle instead they won't be disappointed.

I guess form our perspective we'd definitely rate Stanton higher based on his body of work compared to Atley both this year and in previous years, but then Atley is 6 or 7 years younger than Stanton so I'm not sure how much that would come into it.
I just recall someone writing that they'd seen him play as a junior and being impressed, saw Dodoro and suggested Atley. Was over ruled in favour of Heppell? The age difference was what I was thinking if a trade were even considered.

Taking a look at the hawks' depth
Schoenmakers did his prospects no damage late this season. With Gunston & Roughead as first choice, and the hawks' rucks being good forwards, could be an option. Trading a premiership player is stiff though
Spangher will struggle to break into a backline with Lake, Gibson and Frawley (plus he has the blessings of the grand final gods)
Anderson - has pace, youth and potential on his side. Duryea has certainly taken his spot. Hill, Smith and Hartung will occupy the running midfielder spots.

Spangher in for Carlisle's spot (Hooker, Hurley and Spangher in defence)
Schoenmakers as a CHF with Daniher.

Don't see why the hawks would want to trade Schoey. Gunston, Roughead, Schoey are all mobile tall forwards, able to hunt the ball, lose their defenders by changing direction on the lead, and they all present well in ground level play. In other words they all remain handy and dangerous when the ball hits the ground. Of course they are well complemented by Rioli, Puopulo, and Breust. Hawthorn are not crazy enough to dispense with any one of them. You can't have too many dangerous forwards.
