Certainly. So pick 34 this year is the first opportunity towards filling the holes left by the old remaining warhorses like Gibson, Bagoyne, Hodge, Roughnut. Throw in the sun setting on the likes of Birchall and Cyril, coupled with peg leg O'Meara and Tyrone "Sebago" Vickery, list cloggers like Hartung, Shooey, Whitecross, O'Rourke, Pittonot and you get a feel for how miserable the Hawks supporters are feeling right now. Good on em for turning up occasionally.

As I keep saying no need to replace each and every one to the same level. If we did, watch out AFL it might be a fourpete or fivepete next time

Just repeating what jaeger and clarko and the club have been saying.

"Its not about this year its about the next 10."
"we see him as a 10 year player for us"

What the hell are you on about???

10 year player! Good times. Based on his current output, that's about 40 games!

CupCake? five year figures noron. bombers v hawks 2016 to 2017 was 300% improvement. you know that the attendance counts opposition fans as well?

One game played at docklands, the other at the MCG.......apples and apples "noron".

It sounds like, it not being Hawthorns worst nightmare could be some peoples worst nightmare.
Believe it or not this thread is not about all non-hawthorn supporters being head****ed and taking delight in, or hoping for, Hawthorn's demise. That sort of paranoia best belongs on the Hawthorn board where simpletons can, and do, read anti Hawthorn agendas into anything the media or BF utters about their team. The thread is about how bad the 2016 trade period was for Hawthorn and the implications it will likely have for the next few years, and as these things go it was an extraordinarily bad trade period. The thread would be pretty much the same whether it was Carlton, Essendon, Fremantle or any other team. And like many of these threads, their supporters would also flood in here, like you, blindly defending their team and end up rendering the thread unreadable.

Do you measure something by guessing where the end is?

Blindly? The whole thing is speculative and no light will be shone until it plays out

Maybe we can all agree on that

So, describe an early draft pick in the same terms
X is already providing a good return on investment with potential for greater future returns so his standard contract was extended from two to four years.
Y is still in the R & D phase and won't be ready for release for some time. His contract won't be extended unless we can sort out some technical glitches.

Will be a 100+ page thread on the mainbord on one teams single trade period. Its absolutley about the hope for the demise of HFC (from mostly bombers and cats supporters) and how youve been headfkd. just accept it, youve been sucked in.

Just getting away from the draft fail by Hawthorn, there is no need for hope anymore about Hawthorn heading for the cellar, they're already eating cheese with rodents.
