Out of curiosity would Hopper do it?

Hopper for Lever? I wouldn't have thought that would be enough. Hopper has played 20 games in 2 years at GWS as a midfielder.

Lever has played 53 games at Adelaide in 3 years. Other than a single SANFL game at the start of this year when returning from a hamstring injury, he's been in the best 22 for 2 years now and made the AA squad this year.

Lever has also supposedly getting offers of $800k+/year, which I'm guessing is significantly higher than what Hopper has been offered.

Hopper looks like he'll be a very good player but, judging by the offers in front of him, Lever seems to be regarded as someone who will be elite in the next couple of years.

Sorry I meant Hopper for Cameron. I agree about Lever, anyone would want him but his value a lot higher than Hopper no argument .

Hopper for Cameron is a deal you'd see 9 out of 10 Crows supporters take. Unfortunately Cameron's form has dropped away quite a bit in the last month or so.

Not sure if he's got family issues as reported, but he seems pretty disinterested at times out on the field and his kicking for goal, both set shots and on the run, has really let him down. He's on the borderline of being dropped for the first final.

I got that reading your board, we need legspeed and defensive pressure in the forward line. We'll look to trade for a small forward I'm pretty sure. Lot would have to happen and seems Hopper doesn't want to stay, expect him to go somewhere.
Tks

I think Cameron wants Qld though for family factors.
Not sure he'd be available for you guys...

Kind of got that. Our board speculating a few options, Hawks seem keen to convince us we want Puopolo but I think it's too late for him. We've done well out of guys like Shaw and Mummy whose clubs wanted to lose them. It's just conjecture, would have mentioned Riley Knight but it seems like you guys like him and didn't want to piss you off.

Isn't his family in Mt Isa? That's like 2000 ks or something from Brisbane and not much further from Sydney by plane.

Maybe his mum passed through Sydney once like Kurt Tippet's did

Knight absolutely loves the club. Beyond love actually. Can't see him ever leaving

We love Knight and he loves the crows.
Sure he's not the most talented player on the list, and he's suffered from a strong forward line, but the kid gives it all.

Right now hes our number 1 tagging option too.

I think Knight would be hard to get. SA boy who seems to love the club and recently re-signed. Nothing seems impossible these days though.

I actually hope he gets more luck with injuries, and stars for guys. He seems to me to have the capacity and I like the cut of his jib.

Smart move by the Adelaide brains trust, he was worth way more than the early offer of $350k.

On Lever wait and see, you quickly adjusted to the loss of the best player in the comp, should have finished second last year except for a last game brain fart and finished top this year.

You'd have to be a moron to believe we were only offering $350k

Crows R&D is top notch. They have had some bad luck with player retention but meh that happens.
Exactly. you cant knock the crows in this department... Dangerfield would have left any club to return to Geelong and be closer to his precious moggs creek. Look at the Crows record for picking up stars on the rookie list over there years.. its brilliant.

Yet we will bring in more talent than you, and recruit better with our limited picks.

Maybe you should tell the OP off for not posting this on the Adelaide board.

What mate?

Our recruitment has absolutely shat on yours over the past...well ever really. Player retention is another story entirely...

We have 0 top 10 picks on our list, lost our best player to you guys and we're still in the hunt.

Our AA squad of 40 nominations:

Sloane: Pick 44
Laird: Rookie Draft
Betts: Preseason draft (Carlton) - Free Agent
Walker: Pick 75
Jacobs: Rookie Draft (Carlton) - Traded in using picks 34 and 67

You'd have to be a moron not to. It's a confirmed fact that we went to him and tried to low ball him at the start of the year before his stocks went up. Reported by rucci, confirmed by graham cornes and the AFC.

Can't blame Mitch for holding out for a reasonable offer. Glad we ended up giving him one. Sound so liek that's all he wanted was "reasonable" as he spoke glowingly of the club when he re signed and the low ball offer makes sense as to why he waited.
