I really feel like we'll live to regret it if we trade him.

I'm sure that's their thinking yeah ... but with a team of ordinary kicks of the footy, trading out the best we've got feels fraught with danger.I rate him but I don't. Think the club is desperate to land Lever without losing next years 1st and this is a trade we may have to make.

How the hell is trading him to Port helpful?Port don't have a first rounder. Pick 29 is their first pick
Just checked that out myself ... No way 29 gets that done. It's surely gotta be a case of "if a great deal too good to be true comes up we'll trade him, but if not we're happy to keep him"Port don't have a first rounder. Pick 29 is their first pick
Yea Toumpas
Lol cue the 23yo jokes.Port have all sorts of cap issues don't they? they'd be looking to trade out a player
Hamish Hartlett again perhaps

No cap issues here, actually have plenty of cap room because of the way our existing contracts are structured regarding CBA pay increases (it's a long story I won't bore you with). Hartlett is on a long term contract and has to agree to any trade, he made it very clear 12 months ago that he isn't going anywhere. Jarman Impey would be more likely.Port have all sorts of cap issues don't they? they'd be looking to trade out a player

I can see some sort of bundle with Ah Chee being involved. The only stuff we could offer is our next years first round pick, a compo pick for Trengove (if we get one) or a few of our fringe players, Aaron Young, Jarman Impey, Brendan AhChee, or maybe young key back Logan Austin.
I can't see any Watts deal happening though, I think the media is making this up.
I'm genuinely embarrassed by my form in my early 20yo. And I thought I was the man making $50k pa...When i think about what (and who) I was doing at 20.... hundreds of thousands of $$$ and the public knwing who i am would not have done me any favours.
If Jack is traded wouldn't mind one of Darcy Byrne Jones, Dan Houston, Logan Austin coming our way.
Don't know if Port cough up Houston and 29 but I'd be happy with that, Houston can play half back and is still a young kid, and Port coaches don't seem to rate him as much as they should. Still a young kid as well.
Although I'd rather see Frost get a go at half back, if Goody doesn't give Frost the opportunity then Houston is still a very solid option.
