Any chance Hart takes over from JPod and Pod moves into fitness with the role vacated by Bode (or another role)?

He was always earmarked for fitness roles until we couldnt replace Milburn and basically begged him to consider coaching. He has seemingly worked but maybe he still has a passion for strength and conditioning and had asked for us to try make it happen (may have always been on the cards with an understanding he would go on until we could find a suitable replacement and we may have been running out of time)

I really can't believe this selection.

At Port, we have Bassett who is a premiership coach in his own right and tactically has reshaped Ports defence.

If Hart goes to defence, we've got a sacked coach who couldn't get another gig and who we've had a year to access his knowledge in the media and he's been awful.

**** me drunk.
I sense that this is a great appointment for David Mackay

Bode wasnt really left with much of a role.

Perhaps they are sending Pod too coach the forwards.

God I hope he isn't going to have a significant input to game plan and/or structures.

He better be there to guide individuals in some aspect of there own personal game, otherwise this is an absolute hack of an appointment
perhaps he can talk Thommo out of retirement

The Bedwetters are alive and well.

All the bullshit about how appointing Burton was the beginning of the end but not a single word from the BWs that we have had a below average injury rate since he joined us. A lot of wailing early in the season about the hammys but once again we are below average over the season.

Can the BWs provide a scintilla of evidence that the AFC sacked Ben Hart? Everything I have read said he was unhappy not to be considered for he head coach job given to Sando and Collingwood poached him. He was blindsided at the end of last year when Buckley turned over the assistant coaches (clearly their fault that the Magpies were shit) and had insufficient time to sort out a new club.

And then there was all the wailing over appointing JPod which seems to have worked out O.K.

Now if we offer Bickley a job then I am happy to light the torches.

Most of the haters are basing their reasoning on: a) he said some pretty dodgy shit on radio; and b) he wasn't that impressive with Collingwood's defence

Leigh Matthews is one of the best players of all time and one of the best coaches. His media commentary and special comments are some of the worst in the business. Malcolm Blight similar, another brilliant coach and player. Terrible media performer. These things aren’t linked.
Not even close. Leigh has some out their ideas but can identify tactics etc.

Again I ask, have you listened to Hart much?

Have you listened to Hart and if so what did you think about his knowledge of the game?

Apparently he was pretty good with their defence up until the last year. They made changes to the defensive game plan and he started to clash with Buckley as a result (according to some on their board anyway). They also started to leak in defence according to same posters that year.

I wonder how McLeod finds coaching? "Just grab it, glide along the wing and kick it down the throat of the forward, it's as simple as that" followed by watching the player butcher it again and again "... I don't remember it being this hard when I was playing" :p

womens team better at attracting assistants than the men
Not all is well in regards to our senior coaching team for AFLW. Highly successful last year, but there are serious personality issues that will eventually cause problems.

Could you elaborate??

Below average hamstring injury rate? Hmmm, we had two alone cost us in the most important week of the year (McGovern and then Kelly on GF day).
