:thumbsu:Great effort

I Like your GWS team. I do think you've missed that Williams plays 7th back. I think that means one more backspot and one less mid.I hope that leaves a spot for Adam Kennedy and means Griffen or De Boer miss.

Finlayson is left field but inspired I think. Orginally a "project" player his best in the NEAFL is great but he seems to have struggled a lot with his body. Cant read much into his debut as he was injured early and out of the game. Entirely possible.

B: D.Grimes - D.Astbury - N.Vlastuin
HB: B.Houli - A.Rance - B.Ellis
C: K.Lambert - T.Cotchin - S.Edwards
HF: J.Caddy - J.Reiwoldt - D.Rioli
F: D.Butler - B.Griffiths - S.Bolton
R: T.Nankervis - D.Martin - D.Prestia

INT: K.McIntosh - S.Grigg - J.Graham - C.Ellis

EMG: J.Castagna - A.Miles - J.Townsend - C.Menadue

From GF side
OUT: Broad, Castagna, Townsend
IN: C.Ellis, Bolton, Griffiths

Broad obviously out, McIntosh goes back and C.Ellis comes in after finishing the year very strongly in the VFL. Castagna makes way for Bolton who looks very exciting and should hopefully be good to go with another pre-season under his belt. I expect we will go back to having a second tall which means Townsend is unlucky. Griff probably gets first crack if fit, although Callum Moore came along in leaps and bounds this year.

Logue Hamling Ryan
Wilson Johnson Blakely
BHill Mundy SHill
Walters McCarthy Bennell
Ballantyne Taberner Cox
Sandilands Fyfe Neale

Tucker, Langdon, Matera, Pick 2/5
Emg - Spurr, Kersten, Darcy

Alex Witherden, Harris Andrews, Luke Hodge.
Darcy Gardner, Daniel McStay, Sam Mayes.

Archie Smith, Dayne Beams, Charlie Cameron.
Dayne Zorko, Jarrod Berry, Rhys Matheison.

Lewis Taylor, Josh Walker, Allen Christensen.
Cedric Cox, Eric Hipwood, Ryan Lester.

Nick Robertson, Hugh McCluggage, Daniel Rich, Mitch Robinson.

Somebody will go out for Cameron Rayner, Luke Davies-Uniacke or Paddy Dow.

Not to mention picks 15 and 18. Archie in for Stef? If our other talls can cover the ruck I'd replace Archie with LDU in the middle. It's getting tougher and tougher to get a spot in the 22

Not looking good for North. Aside from Brown, this team appears to lack the most talent in the comp. Will struggle to win 5 games.

It doesn't help that you don't know much about them and that soon they'll have the least successful coach of all time.

The team will surprise if injuries and coaching don't implode them again. The talent is not the problem.

The Hobart wins and gimme games against Melbourne/Richmond unfortunately assist a liability coach remain employed and delay the required refresh.

That’s a really ordinary team for North outside of the forwards.

Really need someone to help Cunnington in the middle, which is why I find it weird they’ve been linked to Stephenson over Dow and Cerra.

There's a fair bit of investment in young key position defenders that haven't really had enough exposure yet.

Neilson, Mckay and Durdin are enough to be content with for now and may just develop extremely well.

The smaller defenders have a decent blend including the underrated Marley Williams, the recently injured Wright, the decent/developing Vickers Willis as well a few midfielders/half backs coming into their prime years.

Not a disaster by any means, and if Thompson doesn't fall off the cliff, they'll have a decent output next year with Tarrant another shot at AA.

The key to fixing the midfield was to trade Goldstein and run with Preuss.

Incompetent list management aside, having a huge and talented ruckman in Preuss could hide a few weaknesses.

Cunnington, Ziebell, Higgins all have it in them to be AA.

A support crew of blue balled - McDonald, Dumont, Clarke, Atley, Mountford, Jacobs, Zurhaar, Hrovat, Simpkin, Garner, Turner, Ahern, pick 4 could easily show development under the right conditions and a dominant ruck.

McDonald and Ziebell may just be the guys to help Cunnington. Dumont also is expected to go to another level.

Yep. North in trouble for the next few years.

And as history shows, when a Melbourne based club that weak bottoms out the calls for relocation/merger start to be made.

Personally for the benefit of the competition i think it would be worth them taking an 10-11 game deal in Tassie. They are already 30% there.

So many new editions, and all pushing the same barrow. I suppose I will have to start taking you seriously.

Higgins has become a very good player after leaving the kennel. Cunnington one of the best and Ziebell has a rare ceiling.

Sauce or not, they are good players.
Higgins has been good at North, but is 30 now and has peaked. No hope of being AA. Ziebell and Cunnington would not even start in the midfield for the top 10 sides. I have more hope of dating Jennifer Hawkins than what they do of being AA.

You should watch a few North games. Cunnington is one of the best in the business and Ziebell would be your hardest player of all time.

Lol. Okay.
All of a sudden, a bloke who isn't even in your team yet, and a bloke who isn't best 22 are guns. When you have spuds like Ellis on your list.

Geez some posters are needlessly antagonistic. Take a breath and read what he said again. He believes they will be guns.

I'm hearing we will be picking up Dal & Libba as RFA's next year. This should help correct the ship. Throw in Cerra/Dow (2017) & Rankine (2018), then Kelly in 2019, and we will be back in top 4 territory by 2020.

That's actually a pretty exciting blend of youth and experience. Not saying we're flag contenders next year, or even the year after, but the future looks bright again....

That's probably the worst list of younger players in the AFL which is fair enough after 4 Grand finals in a row.

These 3 players are all quality, but your issue is it falls away after this.

Mind you I think you are going down the right track of a rebuild, with the exception of not trading Goldy.

Realistically, you are way more than just 4-5 players away from being a finals contender again, let alone top 4 within a few years.
