Means we either don’t want or are not confident of getting Rankine which I’m not happy with!
I would think they are two very seperate discussions. Trade period goes down well before draft night. Can't go in assuming that you will get a certain player in the draft so you skip on a player available during trade week, only to then miss out on that player in the draft as well. Also in reverse, you don't trade in a player based on what you think will happen on draft night, as it can be very unpredictable and as we saw last year, players slide.

Depends where you see Rankine and Gallucci developing. If you think they're midfielders then we definitely need specialist small forward help, especially with Eddie at the end of his career.
Gallucci will be playing mainly mid next year imo. His pace and two way running are needed very badly. Rankine, betts, knight and stengle sounds good up forward with 2 key talls.

The problem for me is that I want it all. I want four or five of these SA boys from the draft list - Luko, Rankine, Rozee, Hately, Valente, Sparrow, Grundy and want to trade out whatever we need to get them. PLUS I want Preuss and some of these others from other clubs that sound OK - Stengle etc. PLUS I would be prepared to give Michael Talia a rookie or late draft spot PLUS there's a whole heap I don't know about yet. How am I going to get all of that?
With that avatar, you should be able to have what ever you want!

Didn't someone on the previous page say Preuss? I don't know for sure, I've never spoken to him, or anyone he knows.
Nah I wasn't saying he has (as in I know any info) but more you'd imagine if a team is offering a walk in #1 ruck spot then he'd take that over an uncertainty of where he might be, especially if he wants out because of the lack of opportunities he's had at North.

As for the 14 games for Jacobs and 10 for him that some have floated, it sounds nice in theory but surely that only happens if they both keep getting injured? Otherwise you're trying to build them into form in which both should be capable of playing an entire season give or take a couple of games.

We still have the fabric of a very good side. I'd love an upgrade on Jake Kelly and another superstar midfielder, but that's probably asking a bit much.
Jake may struggle next season .....this McPherson has great wraps on him ....Could this be the year that we see the best of Brad Crouch ?
